Description
This mod introduces simple wind mechanics to Minecraft.
It is non-intrusive—avoiding complex special effects or destructive weather—and adheres to the immersive style of both vanilla Minecraft and the Create mod.
Wind generation is deterministic: each dimension has a specific seed value, and wind patterns are mapped based on chunks. This allows you to build with wind characteristics in mind without worrying about random gusts disrupting your work, all while maintaining high performance.
The wind pushes dropped items, entities, players, and airships from the Sable mod. You can monitor wind data using the gauges added by this mod.
This mod supports the Ponder system; hold the 'W' key while hovering over a gauge to learn more.
Requirements: Minecraft 1.21.1 + NeoForge, along with the Create, Sable, and Aeronautics mods. Installation is required on both the client and the server.
The configuration file is located at config/crosswind-server.toml. Default settings are mild, but you can adjust them for more intense effects. The /crosswind command is available for debugging purposes.
