Features
- Rune forging: strike gear on the Runic Anvil with the Runic Hammer and play a forging minigame. The server judges every hit.
- Three minigame modes: Rune Forging, Catch the Rune and Runic Lanes.
- Quality and refine: five grades from Uncommon to Myth. Refine gear up to its grade's cap, then promote it.
- Hammer mastery: your hammer levels from Novice to Grandmaster and specializes in a school.
- School runes: align gear to fire, ice, Runesmith, Occult and more.
- Runic Manuscripts: very rare chest loot from any mod's dungeons. Each one adds an attribute to forged gear.
- Runic Awakening: wake all your forged gear at once.
- Ego Awakening: your Myth weapon's spirit takes your gear and fights beside you.
- The Black Lotus: a TACZ pistol that fires mana and casts spells (separate gun pack).
Content Packs
Runeforged is the engine. What can be forged, the minigame maps and songs, and every awakening come from packs:
- Runeforged Default Pack (required, installed with the mod): the full foundation set for Iron's Spells and the supported mods.
- Your own pack: make it in the Pack Editor, export it as a mod jar and drop it in
mods. Either replace the jar or modify the datapack within the jar and export it right back as a jar if you wish. I always recommend making your own configurations.
Getting Started
- Craft a Runesmith Rune, then the Runic Hammer.
- Upgrade Overgeared's Tier B anvil into the Runic Anvil.
- Put a sword and a blank rune in the anvil, hold the hammer, and right-click.

Configurable
Recipes, forgemaps, awakenings, loot chance and tuning are all datapack-driven. Server configs cover mastery, manuscript slots, Ego Spirits and gun mana. Every key can be rebound.
