Rune-Around is an adventure mod that revolves around magic runes. The idea behind this mod is to enhance the game's progression and diversity by adding new ores, mobs, items, and structures, artifacts, etc., all centered around the production of runes.

In total, there are (as of now) 17 runes that will grant the player passive powers and improve their attributes.

Explore the world and defeat mobs to acquire the items needed to craft the runes. The crafting recipes and item collection mechanics have been carefully designed to encourage adventure in a way that doesn't negatively impact vanilla Minecraft, avoiding as much as possible taking away the function of the game's native mechanics and resources.

This is just a beta test version, but it already includes a large variety of content and is 100% enjoyable in survival mode. However, my future plans are much more ambitious, including a new dimension and new Bosses, as well as a possible upgrade to the Ender Dragon.

Basic Guide:

To craft a rune, you will first need an 'empty rune' and 3 other ingredients. The empty rune is made with 8 'runic fragments', found in structures around the world, and one 'flourite", a quite striking pink ore. For the specific crafting recipes of the runes, I recommend using Just Enough Items (JEI). An official wiki is also planned for the future.

After obtaining a rune, you will have its power simply by it being in your inventory. You can also use a Runic Altar to assimilate the rune's power for 30 levels of XP, permanently acquiring its power without needing to carry it in your inventory.
