ruins_of_logres-1.4.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
1.4.0
This is a big update for the island, so here's what changed.
Immersive Gateways and Streams Reflowing are now optional
You no longer need either mod to play Ruins of Logres. Both still work really well alongside it, so if you already have them installed, keep them.
- Immersive Gateways: if it's installed, the Highland Gateways work just like before and take you straight to Logres. If it isn't, the gateway ruins simply don't generate and you reach the island by boat. You can also switch the gateways off yourself with
enabled = falseinconfig/ancientpeaks-common.toml. - Streams Reflowing: if it's installed, it handles the island's streams the way it always has. If it isn't, the island now has streams of its own (see below).
What's new
- One island per world. Logres now sits on its own, roughly 9,000 to 10,000 blocks from spawn, so finding it feels like a proper voyage.
- The island's own rivers. Streams start at small mossy springs up in the hills and work their way downhill to the sea. Along the way they join up and get wider, settle into little ponds on flat ground, and drop over waterfalls into plunge pools. The banks fill in with clay, mud, moss, ferns, azalea, dripleaf and the odd fallen log, with seagrass and lily pads in the calmer water.
- Clearer water. The water on the island is now a clean mountain blue instead of the old murky green.
- Smoother first trip through a gateway. The island's landing spots now get prepared in the background when the server starts, so the first trip through a gateway shouldn't freeze the server anymore.
Fixes
- World creation could get stuck in larger modpacks. That's fixed.
- Streams Reflowing 2.13 and newer is accepted (this came in 1.3.2).
The new island and streams only appear in newly generated worlds, so start a fresh world to see them.
