What's new

Space grows a real sky to explore, the Aether gains its golden sand and bouncy clouds, Moas become a flock you raise, the armour is redrawn, and corruption now spreads to everything. (Worldgen changes are new-worlds-only — make a fresh world to see Space, Quicksoil and the new ores.)

Space: planets → asteroids → the Moon

  • The void is no longer one lone cube. The first time you enter, Space builds itself: four random biome-cube planets (meadow, desert, tundra, fungal) ringed around the pad, an asteroid field drifting in a layer above them, and — high above that — the Moon: a 200-block-wide globe of Moonstone with a great crater in its top. Planets low, asteroids middle, Moon up top.
  • (The Moon is huge, so the very first entry into Space has a one-time pause while it all builds.)

The Aether: Quicksoil, Icestone & bouncy clouds

  • Quicksoil — the Aether's golden sand. It's so slick you slide fast across it. Smelt it into Quicksoil Glass, a glowing golden pane. It generates in patches across the sky islands.
  • Icestone — a cold blue stone that freezes touching water to ice; mined from the Holystone.
  • Aerogel — a light, near-clear, blast-tough solid smelted from an Aercloud.
  • Blue & Golden Aerclouds — clouds that catch your fall and spring you back up (Blue a gentle hop, Golden a big trampoline launch), crafted from an Aercloud plus lapis / a gold nugget.

Moa eggs — raise your own flock

  • A grown, tamed Moa now lays Moa Eggs over time. Use a Moa Egg on the ground and a baby Moa hatches, already tamed to you — feed it seeds and it grows into a mount. A flock keeps itself going.

The Structure Chest — a portable build stamp

  • Crafted on the 5×5 table, it's not a container. Place it next to a build and it sucks the whole structure up; place it in the open and right-click to stamp that build back down next to itself. It keeps its structure when broken (like a shulker box keeps its items), including the contents of any chests inside the build, so you can carry a whole build in your pocket and re-stamp it.

Armour, redrawn

  • Every Aether metal's armour is redrawn — clear helmet/chestplate/leggings/boots shapes with a hammered-metal texture, recoloured per tier, both as inventory icons and worn on your character.

Corruption & Purification, everywhere

  • The Corruption and Purification balls now work on everything in the Overworld and the Nether — the hidden biomes included. Corruption turns the whole area around you Nether (grass→nylium, water→lava, wood→crimson, stone→netherrack…) but spares your chests, furnaces and other containers; Purification cleanses it all back. One ball per burst.

Fixes

  • Icestone and Quicksoil now actually generate — they were targeting Aether terrain that isn't painted until after they run, so they matched nothing; they target the raw End stone now.
