RS Integration 1.4.6 Update Announcement

This update adds compatibility with four Biomancy machine types, improves the virtual workstations in the RS Crafting Terminal, and improves RS storage refreshing, data saving, and FTB Quests quest detection.

Biomancy Compatibility

  • Added machine binding, recipe recognition, and batch execution support for the Digester, Bio-Alchemy Cauldron, Decomposer, and Bio-Forge, allowing them to participate in RSI recursive crafting.
  • Correctly recognizes the required material amounts and reactants for recipes, and inserts materials according to the actual slots of each machine.
  • Supports replenishing nutrient fuel from the storage network, prioritizing Nutrient Paste; when Nutrient Paste is insufficient, it can attempt recursive crafting before looking for other valid fuels.
  • Plans around guaranteed output for the Decomposer to avoid treating random outputs as guaranteed materials; after execution, settlement is based on the actual outputs.
  • Completed the Chinese names for the four machine types and added an independent Biomancy compatibility toggle.

Virtual Workstations and Machine Management Center

  • Improved workstation switching in the RS Crafting Terminal, supporting switching between regular crafting, stonecutter, smithing table, and anvil interfaces.
  • Virtual stonecutters and smithing tables now use vanilla menu logic, improving recipe matching, material consumption, and result retrieval behavior.
  • Fixed slot synchronization misalignment when switching workstations, as well as stale crafting results remaining and possible duplicate claiming of outputs.
  • Fixed a crash caused by empty names when entering a name in the virtual anvil.
  • Improved Shift quick-transfer for workstation input slots; the stonecutter only accepts materials that can be used in stonecutting recipes.
  • Adjusted the size, position, and rendering layer of the machine favorite button to avoid overlapping with the terminal clear button or blocking item tooltips.
  • Added independent configs to control whether remotely opening machine interfaces requires binding, and whether virtual workstations require binding to their corresponding real machines. By default, remote machine interfaces require binding, while virtual workstations do not.

RS Storage Improvements

  • Merged duplicate storage cache rebuilds triggered during node connection and unbinding, reducing unnecessary repeated refreshes.
  • After storage cache rebuilds, promptly refresh open item, fluid, and portable terminals to reduce inventory lists showing stale states.
  • Increased the transfer limit for full terminal inventory lists, improving list synchronization in scenarios with many item types or NBT variants.
  • When saving RS data, first write to and validate a temporary file, and only mark it as saved after successful replacement; if saving fails, keep the pending-save state and wait for a later retry.
  • Before extracting a bucket of fluid from the fluid terminal, first check whether the actual inventory is sufficient and whether the fluid can be bucketed, avoiding invalid operations that deduct inventory in advance.
  • Added an independent config/rs_integration/storage.toml config file. The above optimizations are enabled by default and can be adjusted separately; terminal list transfer options require a restart to take effect.

FTB Quests and Other Fixes

  • Optimized automatic storage scanning when unlocking quests consecutively, reducing the overhead of repeatedly reading the entire network in a short time.
  • Fixed the quest detection queue potentially lingering for long periods, and promptly cleans up expired requests.
  • Fixed repeated rebuilding of the quest interface during quest progress updates, while preserving synchronized updates for JEI quest entries.
  • Fixed an issue where Sophisticated Backpacks auto-feeding from the storage network could accidentally interact with the player's held item.

Upgrade Notes

  • Version: 1.4.6
  • Minecraft: 1.20.1, Forge.
  • In multiplayer, update both the client and server at the same time, and use the same version of RSI.
