RS Integration 1.4.5.1 Update Announcement
This is a maintenance update focused on Tetra/JEI integration, recursive crafting stability, and inventory synchronization. Below are the main changes actually added or fixed in this version.
Tetra and JEI Integration
Workbench Material Filtering
- After opening the Tetra workbench, JEI will automatically filter to the materials that are actually available based on the current target item, module slot, and selected schematic.
- When only a module slot is selected and no specific schematic has been chosen yet, the materials from all available schematics for that slot will be combined; after selecting a specific schematic, the list narrows to the materials allowed by that schematic.
- Existing JEI search conditions still apply; after leaving the workbench, clearing the target, or switching workbench context, the original JEI item list is restored.
- While in the Tetra workbench, holding Ctrl and hovering over a JEI material lets you directly preview the result of applying that material to the current schematic.
- Added an optional config
keepJeiMaterialPreview, which can keep the most recent JEI material hover preview; the old preview is automatically cleared after the target, slot, schematic, or workbench changes.
Material Sorting
- Added a Tetra material sorting panel in JEI, supporting fields such as default order, material type, hardness, density, flexibility, durability, tool level, tool efficiency, integrity gain, integrity cost, and magic capacity.
- Supports enabling both primary and secondary sorting fields at the same time, with ascending or descending order set separately for each.
- Added a JEI exclusion area and tooltip for the sorting panel, so opening the sorting menu will not obscure or cause accidental clicks on the JEI material list.
JEI Item Extraction from Storage Networks
- Added a JEI shortcut, “Pull a Stack from Storage Network,” which defaults to the middle mouse button.
- When triggered on a JEI item, it will extract a stack from the currently available RS or BD storage network and place it into the player’s inventory.
- Extraction requests are validated server-side for the network, permissions, inventory space, and actual stock; clear messages are shown when network stock is insufficient, permission is missing, the inventory is full, the item does not exist, or extraction fails.
- If the inventory cannot fully hold the extracted items, the remaining items will attempt to be returned to the storage network to avoid losing them.
Recursive Crafting and Planning
Recipe Selection and RS Crafting Matrix
- In pure recursive planning, among multiple viable producers, it now prioritizes direct decomposition recipes with fewer dependency layers, reducing unnecessary tool or processing chains without changing normal feasibility checks.
- Added support for custom crafting matrices such as RS Crafting Stations: before starting virtual recursive crafting, leftover items in the matrix are first returned to the network.
- If the crafting matrix cannot be fully returned, this recursive craft is canceled and the reason is shown; it will not continue using an incomplete inventory state.
- Fixed RS matrix normalization in the player output chain to prevent matrix items from being double-counted or incorrectly treated as extractable stock.
- Removed debug logs from the matrix compatibility flow to reduce log noise during normal operation.
Planning Timeouts and FTB Quests Preview
- Added an independent timeout boundary for final validation of planning results; if validation times out, the request is stopped and a clear message is returned to the client.
- When a planning request is canceled, the progress state now ends correctly and will not leave behind a progress HUD that keeps waiting.
- FTB Quests batch submission preview now goes directly through the quest planner, instead of starting the normal recursive planning HUD and then waiting indefinitely for a result that does not exist.
Confluence and Terra Curio Workbenches
- Added Terra Curio workbench recipe type, material count ingredient, and JEI recipe recognition, compatible with the existing Confluence workbench path.
- The Terra Curio workbench can participate in recursive planning and continues to use the existing batch executor for actual workbench operations.
- Enabled the Terra Curio workbench as a binding target, so binding, lookup, and execution flows can use this workbench.
- F-key container transfer recognizes and avoids the Terra Curio workbench, and will not misidentify the workbench UI or player inventory slots as normal machine input slots.
Player Inventory Synchronization
- After virtual crafting, batch execution, and machine outputs enter the player’s inventory, the actually changed inventory slots are synced immediately.
- Even if the player has a remote machine UI open, the currently held hotbar slot is also synced, preventing the client from showing ghost items or old counts.
- After the server menu broadcast, a delayed sync is sent again to fix the issue where an old remote UI snapshot overwrites the new item state.
- Inventory sync logic skips FakePlayer and continues to handle the network recovery path when the player’s chunk is not loaded.
Upgrade Notes
- Version:
1.4.5.1 - Minecraft:
1.20.1 - Client and server must use the same RSI version.
- This version uses network protocol
54;1.4.5uses protocol53, so older clients cannot connect directly to this version’s server. - Existing RS/BD networks, machine bindings, favorites, resonance data, crafting tasks, and FTB quest progress will not be actively cleared.
- Existing config files do not need to be deleted; Forge will automatically fill in the new Tetra JEI preview config.
- Before upgrading, it is recommended to back up worlds and configs, and delete old RSI JARs from the instance to avoid loading multiple versions at the same time.
