Royal Arms - Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger

This project is currently in its beta phase as of release 0.9.1. It is currently untested in multiplayer, so expect bugs and glitches. If you encounter any issues or have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments.

Royal Arms allows fans of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger to roleplay as their favorite characters from the show by crafting the weapons and armor seen in the show. Each ranger features different abilities and buffs inspired by what is seen on screen. Transformations are fully animated and armors have custom models, adding a sense of immersion that could never be possible in vanilla Minecraft.

Getting Started

This is a Bugnarok Soldier.

While mainly harmless to a Minecraft veteran, they are the key to crafting the weapons found in the world of Terra. They will rarely drop Shugod Souls upon their death, the main ingredient needed for most of the recipes.

Shugod Souls

Shugod Souls will drop rarely (~33%)  when you defeat a Bugnarok Soldier. The color of the soul corresponds to the Shugod inside. Red is Kuwagata, blue is Tonbo, yellow is Kamakiri, purple is Papillon, black is Hachi, white is Tarantula, neon green is Kabuto, magenta is Hopper, and aqua is Scorpion.

You can eat the souls. Each soul restores a little big of hunger. The core six souls will give you two additional hearts for 1 minute, while the Greater Shugod souls (Hopper, Kabuto, and Scorpion) will give you four. Eating a soul will be important later in determining which ranger you transform in to.

You can surround a gold ingot with any combination of eight non-Greater souls to create a Galactinsect Ingot.

Crafting the OhgerCalibur

Before you get to making the OhgerCalibur, remember that Yanma used the original OhgerCalibur ZERO to design the sword used by the core team.

The OhgerCalibur ZERO is made using a stick and two Galactinsect Ingots as shown above. Now we need to make the additional parts

Combine an iron ingot with a Shugod Soul to recieve a part of the OhgerCalibur respective to the soul that was used. Once you have collected all five and have crafted the OhgerCalibur ZERO, you can create the OhgerCalibur.

By placing all six ingredients in a crafting table, you can obtain the OhgerCalibur.

Transformation

Once you have the OhgerCalibur, you can right click with the sword to start the transformation process. Nothing happening? That is because you need to eat the Shugod Soul of the character you want to change into.

Every time you right click, an animation will play along the corresponding sound effect. Once you have cycled through all the sounds (six clicks total), the sequence will begin and you will become a ranger!

Right clicking again when you are untransformed will remove your armor. You can not do so manually, doing this or having the armor break is the only way to remove your armor.

Tip: As of version 0.9.1, you can speed up the transformation process. If you sneak when you are right clicking for the first time in the sequence, the next four steps will be skipped.

Each character has a unique set of buffs:

• Kuwagata Ohger - Strength II, Regeneration I
• Tonbo Ohger - Strength I, Speed
• Kamakiri Ohger - Strength I, Haste II
• Papillon Ohger - Strength I, Jump Boost II, Slow Falling II, Frost Walker II
• Hachi Ohger - Strength I, Resistance II, Fire Resistance I

Along your travels, you may come across the N'Kosopa Ultra Computer found rarely in dungeon chests.

After using this item, you will recieve a permanent boost to your buffs while transformed:

• Kuwagata Ohger - Strength II, Resistance II, Regeneration II
• Tonbo Ohger - Strength II, Resistance II, Speed II
• Kamakiri Ohger - Strength II, Resistance II, Haste III
• Papillon Ohger - Strength II, Resistance II, Jump Boost III, Slow Falling II, Frost Walker
• Hachi Ohger - Strength II, Resistance III, Fire Resistance II

Duplicate Ultra Computers found can be crafted down into a Diamond.

King's Proof

Also found in dungeon chests are the objects that symbolize the kings' rule.

By obtaining and using these items, you can unlock a unique action for each ranger. The default key to activate these abilies is K.

• OhgerCrown - Kuwagata Ohger can become King Kuwagata Ohger. Additional buffs are applied to player effects, stacks with the N'kosopa Ultra Computer.
• Yanma's Earring - Once every ten seconds, Tonbo Ohger can summon a bolt of lightning where they are looking at.
• Himeno's Tiara - Once every minute, Kamakiri Ohger can damage all nearby enemies while restoring health to themself.
• Rita's Bracelet - Once every thirty seconds, Papillon Ohger can freeze nearby enemies for fifteen seconds.
• Kaguragi's Necklace - Once every ten seconds, Hachi Ohger can shoot a large fireball towards the direction they are looking,
• Jeramie's Crystal - Permanently adds a second health bar to Spider Kumonos.

Duplicate King's Proof items can be crafted down into nine Shugod Souls of their respective color.

Becoming OhKuwagata Ohger

You may have noticed that right clicking with the OhgerCalibur ZERO in your hand does nothing. After all, Racles wasn't able to transform without the help of his team.

By combining any non-Greater Shugod Soul with a stick and sugar, you can craft Vedalia's Lollipop. Eating this lollipop will restore one hunger point and, more importantly, unlock the ability to use the OhgerCalibur ZERO.

Ohkuwagata Ohger has Strength II and Resistance II, and cannot be upgraded.

Becoming Spider Kumonos

Players wanting to become Jeramie's beloved character will have to follow a different path to transform into the hero.

The first step is crafting the Kumonoslayer. The recipe is similar to the OhgerCaliburZERO, but upside down, with the stick on top.

You will also need to craft the Venomix Shooter. The recipe is as follows:

The Venomix Shooter acts as a way to swing from point to point, similar to a grappling hook. To use it, aim where you want the web to shoot and left click. When the web makes contact with a block, you can hold right click to be pushed in that direction. To remove the web, you can shoot it at another point, or crouch while holding the shooter.

Now that you have the Venomix Shooter, you can craft the Change Kumonos Key.

Crafting the key will not consume the Venomix Shooter.

With the key equipped in your off-hand and the Kumonoslayer in your main hand, right clicking will initiate the transformation sequence.

Spider Kumonos gets the following boosts:

• Strength I, Resistance I, Jump Boost II, Regeneration I, and Feather Falling II

With the Ultra Computer activated, these boosts become

• Strength II, Resistance II, Jump Boost III, Regeneration II, Feather Falling II, and Speed I

Using Jeramie's Crystal will also add an additional health bar when transformed as Spider Kumonos.
