What It Does

Roost Reborn brings back the Roost-style chicken automation loop for Forge 1.20.1 with Resource Chickens compatibility.

This release adds two core blocks:

The Roost, which holds a single captured chicken and generates that chicken's primary drop over time.
The Breeder, which holds two captured chickens and produces offspring based on chicken stats and Resource Chickens breeding rules.

Resource Chickens compatibility.
Captured chickens can be inserted using Resource Chickens carrier items and animal nets.
Roost production scales with chicken stats.
Breeding speed scales with chicken stats.
Same-type chicken breeding improves offspring stats.
Mixed chicken pairs can produce valid Resource Chickens mutations using Resource Chickens-style weighted odds.
If a mixed pair does not roll a mutation, the offspring becomes a direct copy of one parent.
In-world rendering shows chickens inside the Roost and Breeder.
Custom Roost and Breeder block models and screens.
Config options for base roost speed, roost speed multiplier, and breeder speed.

Growth speeds up Roost production.
Gain increases Roost output count.
Strength speeds up breeding.
Breeding two chickens of the same type produces a child with rolled stat improvements.

Install Resource Chickens alongside this mod.
Capture a chicken using a compatible Resource Chickens carrier item.
Craft a Roost and insert one captured chicken to automate its main drop.
Craft a Breeder and insert two captured chickens.
Add feed to the Breeder and wait for offspring.
Breed matching chickens to improve stats, or mix valid pairs to chase mutation results.

This mod currently targets Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.
Resource Chickens is required.
