Roguelike Dungeons is a mod that generates large underground dungeon structures which have a procedurally generated layout and loot.
I added Roguelike to my modpack but it isn't generating a config file after loading a chunk or multiple and is not spawning any dungeons.
I have been away from Minecraft for quite a few years. I just returned today and looked for the mod I really enjoyed back when I last played Minecraft. That mod was Roguelike Dungeons. :)
Anyhow, I have a quick question. Does this mod have extra or custom mobs that spawn in the dungeons now? If not, does anyone know a mob set or collection that works with the latest Minecraft version 1.12.2 and this mod so that the dungeons will spawn these extra mobs? Preferably mobs like the typical fantasy monsters. Dragons, ogres, orcs, goblins, etc...
Any info is appreciated.
I really love this mod. The dungeons are tough, but can be quite rewarding! That said, I'm wondering if there are ways to configure loot tables in this to include other mod loot, but all the guide I find for it are for old versions. Are there any instructions on how to do it with 1.11 or other recent minecraft versions?
I hate to be that guy, but what do all of the config entries do? I can't guess everything about what they do just from the names. Any help would be highly appreciated as I love this mod. (although I hate those darn spawners embedded in obsidian)
You don't have to be That Guy. There's a wiki!
update to 1.12 plis
can u please post 22.214.171.124 update here so we can use it in public packs?
You can install Roguelike Dungeons into an existing world, there's no retrogen however so in order to make dungeons spawn, you have to let new terrain generate by exploring lands previously unexplored, i.e. boldly go where you haven't been before... :)
u have a wiki page explaining all the config options?
how do i make them spawn more frequently
Do the dungeons generate when the world is generated, or do they spawn as you move around the world with the mod running?
Does using a world created with large biomes make any difference?
Does this work on servers?
When I create a single world it works fine but when I create a world on the server, no Dungeons to be found.
I've tried it, works fine :P
I'm creating new worlds using Multiverse.
Would that be the reason it's not working?
In single player BOP works fine with this mod.
Your using multiverse so i am assuming your on a bukkit server remember mods have to be loaded on server side if they change anything physical so you will have to use a forge server
Try using different seeds. And if you have BiomesOPlently or similar mods, They can sometimes conflict with world generation on modded worls that have large amounts of mods. (I know from experience)
Is there a way to make the dungeons rarer, or increase chunks between them?
I would like to make them harder to find.
PS. Love this mod, freakin awesome dude!
I think yes, you must play with this value in the config-file in your minecraft folder: spawnFrequency=80
In 1.9.4 version, Endermen cause you to teleport within 4-5 blocks of them and causes momentary blindness when you attack or look at them. Is there an option to disable behavior?
