Spoilers ahead for some fun new discoveries!

  • Update to NeoForge 26.1.2.73
  • Fix plants growing on top of conches
  • Remove some config variables made obsolete by biome modifiers
  • Allow whistling conches, nitro ink sacs and turbo tubes to stack to 64
  • Rocket squids are now proper ageable mods like cows and sheep so should interact with age-related systems better
    • Change default breed cooldown to 6000 ticks like most other mobs (still configurable)
  • Greatly improve Rocket Squid performance by removing DataAttachment synced by packets and using SynchedEntityData instead
  • Improve random direction setting for newly-spawned Rocket Squids
  • Fix item interactions with Rocket Squids, including the Squeleporter
    • More characteristics of Rocket Squids are retained when captured in a Squeleporter
  • Non-saddled Rocket Squids are now placed up to 4 blocks away from the player depending on availability of space
  • Fix squids continuing to sing while blasting to a statue
  • Fix occasional jarring audio lag when Rocket Squids blast off
  • Fix incorrect subtitles when whistling conch equipped
  • Rocket Squids are now capable of rolling to the left and right like vanilla squids
  • Improve handling of squid rotation past its normal values and make squids take the shortest direction when rotating to a target direction: improves rotation smoothness at certain angles and avoids wild full-circle spins in case like when a squid falls to the ground from high up
  • Improved calculation of fall damage for squid riders
    • If you're under the squid or level with it when it hits the ground, you take no damage
    • If you're above the squid but only by 0-10 degrees, the squid takes some of the damage and you take half damage
    • If you're clearly above the squid when it hits, you take no damage
  • Make the squid blastoff sound less harsh
  • Fix some imprecision in squid rotation angles
  • Reduce the amount of time spent by Rocket Squids making imperceptible micro-turns towards their target direction
  • Make Rocket Squids shake more and more as they build up before a blast, then less and less as the blast progresses
  • Did that squid just do a barrel roll...? Rocket Squids now have the ability to do a random trick mid-blast! If you ride one, you can make it do a trick, but I'll leave it to you to figure out how.
