Roamers v1.5 changes:
**Added Genetics:
Features:
- Roamers and Player Descendants will now have variations in their apperances.
- Genetics affect skin color, hair color, and eye colors, and are race-dependent.
- Upon breeding, a baby will adopt a mixture of their parent's physical features.
Sometimes there can even be rare occurences, like different colored eyes, and albinism.
- Roamers and Player Descendants no longer use their old textures, but this can be
changed in the config file under: 'doSimpleTextures'.
Player Descendants will still use player skins if 'doPlayerClones' is true.
**Updated Crafting:
Features:
- Roamers now craft most materials by using a Crafting Table.
- Roamers will only start building their houses after they have placed their Crafting Table.
- Roamers in older saves will not have Crafting tables to continue their houses,
but they can make one depending if they have wood to craft one.
**AI updates and optimization:
Features:
- Major changes in the AI of all characters to improve optimization of the game, and increase FPS.
- Added parent Roamers giving food to their babies.
- Artic Roamers now shovel snow layers for snowballs.
- Added new play behaviors in baby Roamers and Player Descendants:
- Babies now play tag.
- Artic babies now throw snowballs at each other.
- Fixed bug with characters getting stuck using chests.
- Fixed bug with characters not focusing properly on tasks
*Structure Spawning Changes:
- Polished Roamer's generation, fixing wonky terrain and roamers spawning on the side of mountains.
- Artic Roamers now spawn in the Snowy Plains biome rather than the Ice Spikes biome.
- Roamers now only spawn between Y levels 64 and 70
New Items:
- Baby Bundle is a new item that will spawn a baby Player Descendant in the world.
- Works just like a spawn egg, and the player who used the item automatically becomes the parent.
- Will not spawn anything if allowDescendants is false.
Experimental Features:
- Roamers can currently build larger variations of their homes if doLegacyHouses is turned off in the config.
This will be updated in the next release.
- Recommended to increase the landclearingRange to around 14 if doLegacyHouses is turned off to make the
Roamers have more space to build.
- Player Descendants can go into creative mode if their parent player is in creative!
This allows them to fly and resist damage. Can be turned on if doDescendantCreativeModeFlight is set to true.
Config Additions:
- Added new configurable options:
-doLegacyHouses
-blockSearchRange
-landClearingRange
-descendantForeverBaby
-doDescendantCreativeModeFlight
-doSimpleTextures
- More information on these config options are in the info.txt file.
Other Additions:
- Player Descendants now have clothing that can change colors using dye, similar to dyeing wolf collars.
Only applies if "doSimpleTextures" and "doPlayerClones" is false in the config.
- Updated textures of items, wool armorset, and model layers of characters.
- Placed Block Data of Roamers and Players now ignore certian blocks like dirt,
gravel, sand, and plants. Can be configured in the block tag:
'roamers:tags/blocks/ignored_placed_blocks'
