Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Road Designer 1.1
New
Bridges (Advanced options, off by default):
Roads crossing a lake, river, ravine or deep hole at least 5 blocks wide, with land on both sides, get a level bridge instead of being filled in.
Over water the deck sits 3 blocks above the surface, leaving a 2-block gap.
Over ravines and holes the deck is level with the higher side.
Ramps lead up to the bridge on both sides.
Upside-down slabs run under the deck.
Bridges longer than about 6 blocks get pillars down to the ground: stone bricks for Asphalt and Old Town, oak for Dirt Path, and the fill block for Custom.
Materials list on screen: while you hold the Road Tool, the bottom-left corner lists the blocks the road still needs as carried/needed. A row turns green once you have enough, and the list shrinks as you build.
Advanced options menu: Smart curving, Bridges, Clear above and Fill below moved into their own menu, so the main screen is simpler.
New Minecraft versions: 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3, alongside 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
Changes
Square road ends: roads now end with a straight edge instead of a rounded one.
Smarter Smart curving:
Roads run alongside buildings instead of swerving away from them.
Roads cut through small mounds and raised edges instead of taking long detours.
With Bridges on, roads cross ravines instead of going around them.
Materials screen replaced: the Materials... button and screen are gone; the list now lives on the HUD.
Clear above opens the cut all the way to the sky, up to 24 blocks deep.
The real height of steep hills is detected, so cuts are shallower.
