It is a lightweight technical bridge that connects your in-game physical state to the real world. By monitoring player health in real-time, this mod allows you to trigger external hardware events the moment you take damage in Minecraft.
How it Works
The mod acts as a network client, tracking your health 20 times per second. When it detects a decrease in your health—whether from a fall, an explosion, or a mob attack—it instantly sends a signal over your local network to a designated receiver (like a Raspberry Pi).
Key Features
- Instant Feedback: Sub-millisecond detection of player damage events.
- Multi-Device Support: Simple TCP/IP socket communication allows you to connect to any device on your network.
- Portable Configuration: Includes an easy-to-use config file (located at
config/shockmod.properties) so you can update your target IP and Port without ever touching the code. - Asynchronous Networking: All network signals are sent on a separate thread, ensuring that your gameplay never stutters or lags, even if the connection to your hardware is slow.
Setup & Customization
- Install the mod and launch Minecraft once to generate your configuration.
- Navigate to your Minecraft
configfolder and openshockmod.properties. - Enter the IP address of your Raspberry Pi or target device.
- Run your favorite listener script (Python, Node.js, etc.) on your hardware and prepare for a more "immersive" survival experience!
