Description
RINGS OF POWER
Version 9.5.0 · Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric
Twenty-six rings. One slot. Everyone on the server is wearing something, and only one
of you can be the Dark Lord.
Rings of Power gives every player a single dedicated ring slot in their inventory and
twenty-six rings to fight over filling it. A ring is not a trinket — it rewrites how you
play. It changes what you see, what you survive, what follows you into a fight, and what
happens to the person who thought they had you beaten.
---
THE CORE
One slot, one choice
Every player has exactly one ring slot, built into the inventory screen next to the
crafting grid. You cannot wear two. Every fight, every trip, every ambush is decided in
part by which ring you woke up wearing.
Your ring persists through death and, if the killer was a player, it drops half the time —
so beating someone in PvP is genuinely worth something, and losing is genuinely painful.
Every ring makes you stronger
Whatever you wear, you get:
+5 hearts on top of your normal health
Resistance I, permanently
These stack with whatever the ring itself does. The Ring of Power's own Health Boost puts
its wearer at +15 hearts; the awakened Dark Lord sits at +25.
The universal Resistance is deliberately polite about it — the Energy Ring's Resistance IV
burst overrides it for its full 30 seconds instead of being stomped, then the baseline
quietly resumes.
The ability HUD
The middle-right of your screen lists the ring you're wearing, every ability it has, the
key that fires it, and a live cooldown counting down in real time. Ready abilities are
white; recharging ones grey out with a timer.
Cooldowns are authoritative on the server and pushed to your client, so the HUD shows what
actually happened rather than guessing. It hides itself when you're wearing nothing and
when you press F1.
Rings that gain tiers rewrite their own HUD as they awaken — the Sound Ring's list grows
from three abilities to five to six as you climb.

THE RINGS
The founding rings
Ring of Power — Strength III and ten extra hearts. `Z` launches you skyward, and any
melee blow you land while falling smashes down like a mace, scaling with how far you fell.
Ring of Shadow — True invisibility. Not the potion: your body, armour, held items, name
tag and Tab list entry all vanish. You are simply not there. (Only the Sound Ring sees
through it.)
Ring of Flames — Every hit sets the target alight with fire that water alone struggles
to quench, and you are immune to fire. `Z` hurls an armour-piercing ghast fireball. `X`
erupts for 5 hearts to everything within 5 blocks.
Ring of Swiftness — Speed III and no fall damage. `Z` lunges you in the direction you're
looking.
Ring of Ghost — Strength II and Speed I. `Z` becomes spectral for three minutes. `X`
arms a Soul Rip: strike a player and you tear them out of their body for two seconds,
strip their temporary effects, and leave them on two hearts. `C` arms a Wither II strike.
Ring of Ore — Permanent Fortune IV while mining. `Z` duplicates the stack in your hand.
Only one can exist per world, with a server-wide announcement when it's forged.
Ring of Energy — Night Vision and Water Breathing forever. `Z` grants Resistance IV for
30 seconds, but you glow for everyone to see. Also once per world.
Ring of Poison — Anything that hurts you catches Weakness. `Z` arms a Poison III strike.
`X` bursts Poison III and Slowness III through a 10-block radius.
Ring of Thunder · Frost · Leaping · Glutton · Deep · Magnetism ·
Recall · Hunter · Phoenix · Gravity — lightning immunity and called strikes;
chilling hits and a freezing nova; Jump Boost IV; hunger immunity and lifesteal; total ocean
mastery; item magnetism; bind-and-return across dimensions; hostiles glowing through walls;
one cheat of death every ten minutes; and a gravity well that drags everything in or hurls
it all away.
The new rings
Lunar Ring — Night Vision always. After dark, Speed II and Strength I. `Z` blinks you up
to 60 blocks — checking for a safe landing rather than dumping you inside stone — and blinds
everyone where you arrive.
Solar Ring — You carry the sun: permanent Night Vision and a burning aura. `Z` bathes
every player within 10 blocks in Regeneration II.
Eclipse Ring — Both Lunar and Solar passives at once. `Left Alt` switches form; `Z` fires
either a 30-block beam that blinds and wounds, or a radius heal with Swiftness II. One shared
cooldown, so swapping can't dodge it.
Ruler Ring — Every hostile or neutral mob you kill rises again at your side, named
YourName's Sworn, up to twenty-five of them. Anything that strikes you becomes their target.
Blood Ring — The closer to death you are, the harder you are to kill: +1 Resistance for
every 2.5 hearts missing, up to IV, scaling live as you're damaged and healed. `Z` throws a
blood meteor for 3–7 damage by distance.
Beetle Ring — `Z` Hornet Dash lunges and poisons. `X` Rhino Scale grants Resistance VI
for 10 seconds. `C` Dragonfly Flap launches you, six charges, recharging.

THE SOUND RING
Three tiers, nine abilities, and a passive unlike anything else in the game.
The passive is a trade. Your world goes black. You see by movement — anything that moves
within 40 blocks lights up with a glowing outline, and stillness is invisibility. It also
sees straight through the Ring of Shadow, and it's the only thing in the mod that does.
That isn't cosmetic: Shadow works by cancelling rendering entirely, so the Sound Ring
reaches into that same check and switches it off for its wearer alone.
You're handed a Guitar automatically, and replaced if you lose it. Right-click, wait out
a 1.2-second windup, and a music bolt fires from chest height for flat damage that Strength
cannot scale — it's sound, not muscle — leaving the target glowing for ten seconds.
V1 — `Z` Repulsing Rhythm hurls an enemy tens of blocks. `X` Rejuvenating Rhythm grants
Regeneration II and Resistance II. `C` Stunning Rhythm blinds and slows.
V2 — slay a Warden wearing the ring, then press `N` with two music discs, a sculk
shrieker and three sculk sensors. Bolts hit harder and glow longer. `Z` becomes Warden
Keeper's Melody. `X` becomes Melody of Rejuvenation. `C` becomes Eardrum Burster. `V`
creates an Eye Jam decoy wearing your name. `B` is Dimension Shift, dragging up to
three players to you.
V3 — Pigstep, a second guitar pick, four echo shards and two diamond blocks. `X` becomes
Encore, which genuinely wipes every cooldown you have and grants four buffs for twenty
seconds. `G` is Acoustic Glide — true flight, no cooldown, taken back the instant the
ring leaves your finger.

THE RING OF SAURON
The endgame. It is not crafted from ore; it is earned.
The rite
Slay five different players, or five Wardens. Progress is tracked and announced with
every kill.
The moment the rite completes, the Awakened Wraith comes to you — it rises twelve blocks
in front of you with a server-wide announcement and your exact coordinates. 200 health,
glowing, hitting for ten hearts. It is called exactly once, so it cannot be farmed.
Kill it and it drops eight Dark Cores. Eight cores around a Ring of Ghost forge the Ring
of Sauron — and your Ghost Ring is handed straight back. The whole server hears that
THE DARK LORD HAS ARRIVED.
V1 — five abilities
`Z` Eye of Sauron — your camera moves to another player while your body stays behind,
standing in the world and fully attackable. A burning eye of flame hangs behind your target
so they know they're being watched. `Shift+Z` opens a menu of every online player to choose
from. Taking a hit throws you back into your body.
`X` Dark Summon — four wraiths on skeleton horses. They cannot be damaged at all
until someone lands a hit on you, and they can never harm you — that's enforced in the damage
pipeline, not left to AI. `Shift+X` cycles Protect / Follow / Hunt, and a hunted player is
told they're being hunted.
`C` Hellflame — a ghast fireball at triple power, and everything it burns keeps burning
until it touches water. `Shift+C` erupts in a 7-block blast.
`V` Shapeshift — look at any mob or player and become it, using that entity's own model.
You go completely invisible while a silent, mindless puppet mirrors your every move.
`B` To Rule Them All — arms for ten seconds. The next player you strike has their ring
switched off entirely for ten seconds — passives, bonus hearts, abilities, all dead —
plus Slowness III. There is no counter except distance.
V2 — THE DARK LORD
Press `N`, then `J`.
Passive: +25 hearts, Resistance II, Strength III, Speed III, fire immunity.
`X` summons five awakened wraiths: 70 health, eleven hearts a swing, larger, glowing,
and they phase through walls — a wraith that can't see you blinks toward you instead.
`C` becomes Dark Hellflame: fifteen hearts, an 11-block blast, black smoke where the
flame used to be. Water will not save you. Only eating a golden apple puts it out, and it
costs you the apple.
`V` with shift becomes the Werewolf — a vast wolf, with Strength III, Speed III and
Resistance II.
`G` — I AM THE DARK LORD — a 50-block detonation. Wither II, blindness, and everything
caught is frozen solid, velocity zeroed. Ten awakened wraiths rise with it. The whole
server sees the words. Five-minute cooldown.
---
AWAKENING
Press `N` and a checklist opens: every requirement for your ring's next tier with a green ✔
or a red ✘, counted live from your inventory and your quest progress. `J` awakens when
everything is green, and the button stays dead until it is.
One requirement list drives both the screen and the awakening itself, so the checklist can
never promise something the server then refuses.

ITEMS
Guitar Pick · Guitar · Glass Ball · Dark Crystal · Dark Core
The Dark Crystal — nine beacons crushed into a shard — recalls the Awakened Wraith if you
lost it. The Dark Cores are torn from its corpse.
---
GETTING RINGS
Six rings and the Mighty Hammer generate in shrines, 1,500 to 5,000 blocks from spawn:
Power, Shadow, Flames, Swiftness, Poison.
Everything else is crafted. Ore and Energy are once-per-world forges with server-wide
announcements. The rest are shaped recipes themed to what they do — a lightning rod for
Thunder, a heart of the sea for Deep, a totem for Phoenix.
---
KNOWN GAPS
Named honestly rather than left to be discovered:
Teams (`K`) are reserved but not implemented.
Solar's "light level 10" is a glow aura and Night Vision, not real world lighting —
genuine dynamic light means writing light blocks every time you move, which wrecks tick
time on a populated server.
Dimension Shift takes the three nearest players instead of showing a picker.
The Guitar Pick doesn't generate in deep dark chests yet, so the Sound Ring starts
creative-only.
Awakened wraiths phase rather than truly noclip. Real noclip means overriding entity
collision, which tends to drop mobs through the world. From the far side of a wall it reads
identically.
