Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
RGBCraft 0.2.0-beta.1
A major update focused on smart-home automation, large RGB displays, new fixtures, and high-performance colored lighting.
Highlights
Added performant, shader-free colored lighting with adjustable quality, intensity, range, and render distance.
Added Smart Home and Wireless Smart Home controllers with zones, groups, scenes, patterns, and remote fixture assignment.
Added a Screen Controller supporting displays up to 16,384 pixels.
Added Creative Controllers for unrestricted large-scale builds.
Added RGB glass, light pillars, string lights, diffused strips, LED profiles, panels, corners, junctions, and crossings.
Colored lighting
Added a fixed-cost, camera-local colored-light volume.
Added Low, Balanced, and High quality presets.
Added configurable intensity, reach, and render distance.
Colored lighting works without Veil; Veil remains an optional legacy backend where supported.
Added compatibility adapters for several popular Iris shader packs.
Fixed white flashing, flickering, incorrect camera projection, and checkerboard rendering artifacts on Forge 1.20.1.
Unsupported hardware or shader configurations safely fall back to emissive rendering.
Smart-home system
Added named lighting zones with individual power, colors, brightness, effects, BPM, speed, width, easing, and transitions.
Added priority groups with per-field inheritance and overrides.
Added whole-home scenes that capture and smoothly restore every zone.
Added a world-level pattern library with 11 built-in presets and editable custom patterns.
Applying a pattern copies it into the zone, so later pattern edits do not unexpectedly change existing setups.
Added drag-and-drop zone ordering.
Added zone duplication, renaming, deletion, and fixture identification.
Mapping wands can highlight fixtures belonging to their bound zone.
Controller and effects UI
Rebuilt the controller interface with a larger, less cramped layout.
Added separate editors for zones, groups, fixtures, patterns, and scenes.
Added live zone color swatches and quick power controls.
Added secondary color, effect speed, width, easing, and transition controls.
Made the Step easing mode accessible.
Unassigned fixture lists now display the translated fixture name alongside coordinates, pixel count, and ownership.
New controllers start powered off.
Screen Controller
- Added automatic mapping of connected coplanar fixture surfaces.
- Supports holes, rotation, flipping, palettes, calibration patterns, and raw drawing operations.
- Added a CC:Tweaked monitor-style drawing API.
Fixtures and building
Added RGB glass and four-pixel light pillars.
Added four-pixel string lights with proper names, corners, and branching connections.
Added iron, copper, deepslate-brick, and quartz LED profiles.
Added standard and diffused surface fixtures.
Surface lighting can form straight runs, bends, wall transitions, inside/outside corners, T-junctions, and crossings.
Added the RGB Surface Wrench for controlling connections and removing individual face segments.
Fixes
- Fixed the Zones tab disappearing while controller data was synchronizing.
- Fixed controller resizing duplicating effect buttons and eventually crashing.
- Fixed smart-home group resolution leaking state between unrelated zones.
- Fixed several controller-opening crashes and GUI visibility problems.
- Preserved existing controller power states and registry IDs for world compatibility.
