Revenge!

Fixing MC-2432, a feature that cannot be considered a bug

Revenge!

One-shot a neutral mob? Its friends aren't going to let that slide.

What is this?

Ever one-shot an Iron Golem, a Wolf, or a Zombified Piglin and wondered why every other one nearby just stood there watching? Of course you have — we all have.

That's MC-2432. Mojang marked it "Works As Intended" — the neutral mob didn't take damage over time, so it never got a chance to "notice" the attacker. To me, that's just silly logic, so I fixed it.

Revenge! ensures that when you instantly kill a neutral mob, every nearby mob of the same type (within 32 blocks) immediately turns hostile and comes after you — the way it should have worked all along.

FAQ

Q: Will this conflict with other mods? A: It is only injected into the head of one method. It should be compatible with most modules. Of course, I cannot test the usage situation. If you find any issues, please feel free to report them on Github.

Q: Isn't MC-2432 marked as "Works As Intended"? A: In truth. But I think this is a bad decision. Think about it, when you're playing a large mod pack and suddenly realize that the neutral creatures inside turn a blind eye to the fact that their companions are being slaughtered, it's really stupid.

Q: It's too laggy! A: I'm sorry, the logic of this mod causes additional performance overhead when a creature dies. This is a known issue, but my limited time is not enough to support me in developing better methods. If you have any ideas, please feel free to propose them! I would be very grateful to you!
