New Content

  • New ore: Sculk Stone Otherside Ore. A second variant of the Sculk Stone ore (replaces the same blocks as the existing Sculk Stone Sculk Ore). Found in the Deeper and Darker Otherside biomes, drops Otherside Fragment — making it the first reliable mining source for fragments, which until now only came from Ancient Temple chests. Spawns rarely: 1 small vein per chunk, up to 4 ores per vein. Requires a netherite pickaxe to mine (a diamond pickaxe is not enough). Fortune does not increase the drop — fragments stay rare on purpose.
  • All Sculk-tier ores can now be processed by the Crushing Wheel (Create integration). Sculk Stone Sculk Ore and Gloomslate Sculk Ore both yield 3 Sculk Crystals (with a 25% bonus crystal), an experience nugget, and a small chance at the source stone. The new Otherside Ore yields 1 Otherside Fragment (with a 50% bonus fragment).
  • Second recipe for the Deeper Large Cogwheel. You can now craft it from 1 Deeper Shaft + 2 Echo Planks (the same shape Create uses for its vanilla Large Cogwheel). The existing recipe — small Deeper Cogwheel + 1 Echo Plank — still works.
  • All Sculk ores can now be smelted in a furnace or blast furnace (previously only Deepslate Sculk Ore could). Sculk Stone Sculk Ore and Gloomslate Sculk Ore smelt into Sculk Crystals; the new Otherside Ore smelts into Otherside Fragments.

Changes

  • Block of the Deeper and Otherside Block mine ~25% faster. They were inheriting Netherite Block hardness verbatim, which made them painfully slow even with a netherite pickaxe. Explosion resistance is unchanged — they're still tough.

Bug Fixes

  • Pickaxes now work properly on mod blocks again. A diamond pickaxe will once more mine Sculk Ores (Deepslate, Sculk Stone, Gloomslate), Block of the Deeper, and Otherside Block at the speed you'd expect. Previously these felt like you were punching them with bare hands.
  • Wrenching a Deeper Encased Shaft now leaves a Deeper Shaft behind, not a plain Andesite Shaft. (Removing the casing should give back what you had, not a vanilla downgrade.)
