Resonant Edge
Every blade carries a legacy.

Resonant Edge adds sword progression, rune carving, and weapon inheritance to Minecraft. Explore ancient ruins, unlock skills, and pass the strength of your favorite swords to the next generation.

FEATURES

• Weapon Mastery
Grow your sword through combat and spend Skill Points to improve its attack, durability, and skill power.

• Rune Carving
Carve patterns at the Skill Altar to unlock skills. Your carving accuracy determines their quality. Discover special materials to unlock rare skills, or reengrave learned skills to improve them.

• Weapon Inheritance
Pass permanent upgrades and selected skills from a developed sword to a new weapon. Different sword materials grant unique bonuses, and the inheritance tree lets you trace your weapon’s history.

• Combat Skills and Parrying
Combine material-specific sword skills with spirit management and timed parries.

• Ruins and Trials
Explore structures in the Overworld and Nether, uncover rune materials, and challenge trial spawners for rewards.

• Shattered Weapon Echoes
A developed sword destroyed as a dropped item can leave an echo containing half of its accumulated upgrades and up to three randomly selected learned skills. Use the echo at the Inheritance Altar to recover part of its legacy.

GETTING STARTED

1. Explore ruins and complete trials to collect rune fragments.

2. Craft runes for your sword.

3. Hold a supported sword and press Alt + right-click to designate it.

4. Place your sword and rune in the Skill Altar to unlock skills.

5. Build mastery through combat. An intact sword becomes eligible as an inheritance source at mastery level 20.

DEFAULT CONTROLS

• P — Open the Weapon Screen
• Hold G + scroll — Select an active skill
• V — Activate the selected skill
• R — Parry
• Alt + right-click — Designate or release a weapon

P, G, V, and R can be changed in Minecraft’s Controls settings. Active skills require the designated sword in your main hand.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1
• Minecraft Forge — developed and tested with 47.4.10
• Java 17
• Player Animator for Forge — required on clients; developed with 1.0.2-rc1+1.20

For multiplayer, install the same version of Resonant Edge on the server and all clients.

NOTES

• English and Japanese translations are included.
• Back up existing worlds before installation. Explore newly generated chunks to find the added structures.
• Closing an unfinished carving consumes its materials and finalizes it at quality 1.
• Weapon echoes do not cover command removals or direct item deletion by other mods.
• This is a beta release. Please include your mod versions, reproduction steps, and relevant logs when reporting issues.
