Description
Relicforged
Relicforged adds a new relic-forging progression built around underused vanilla materials instead of new ores.
Use the Relic Forge to turn Diamond tools into Blackened relic gear using special components made from items like Obsidian, Amethyst, Ancient Debris, Wither Skeleton Skulls, Ghast Tears, Nether materials, and more.
Blackened Tools
The current release includes:
- Blackened Pickaxe
- Blackened Axe
- Blackened Shovel
- Blackened Hoe
- Blackened Sword
Each tool is forged from a Diamond base, a Blackened Handle, and its matching head or edge.
Searing
Blackened tools have a toggleable Searing state.
Use Shift + Right Click while holding a Blackened tool to toggle it.
While enabled:
- Pickaxe, Axe, and Shovel automatically smelt compatible drops
- Fortune is applied before smelting
- Silk Touch bypasses Searing
- Blackened Sword ignites enemies
- Blackened Hoe currently has no additional Searing effect
- all Blackened tools survive fire and lava
Relic Forge
Relicforged uses its own workstation for tool reforging.
The Relic Forge combines:
- Relic Forging Template
- Diamond base tool
- Blackened Handle
- matching Blackened component
into the finished Blackened tool.
Forging recipes are data-driven and can be extended through datapacks.
Current status
Relicforged is currently in beta.
The Blackened tier is playable, but balance, recipes, effects, and the Relic Forge interface may still change during development.
More relic tiers and mechanics are planned for future releases.
