RelayRooms lets you open a single-player world to friends with one click, without port forwarding, Hamachi, Playit, or a separate host-side program. Every participant must install the RelayRooms Forge mod.
FEATURES
• Open and close a room from the pause menu
• Browse public rooms in a vanilla-style multiplayer server list
• Search by room name and filter by broadcaster permission
• See player counts and measured relay latency
• Join private rooms with expiring or one-time invite codes
• Choose a maximum player count from 2 to 64
• Owner, administrator, moderator, helper, and player roles
• Kick, temporary/permanent ban, mute, warning, whitelist, and OP controls
• Room rules agreement, reports, personal blocking, spam limits, emergency lock, and new-player protection
• Automatically close the room when the host leaves and optionally reopen it when the world is loaded again
HOW IT WORKS
The Minecraft integrated server and world stay on the host player's computer. The mod makes an outbound HTTPS/WSS connection to the RelayRooms service. The service publishes room metadata and relays Minecraft TCP traffic between the host and participants. No inbound router port or separate RelayRooms account is required. Relay TLS is terminated by the infrastructure provider, so the relayed path must not be described as end-to-end encrypted.
DATA AND PRIVACY DISCLOSURE
The directory processes the Minecraft account UUID/display name needed for room access and moderation, room name and settings, game/mod versions, current and maximum player counts, broadcaster permission, invite-code state, rules, reports, and moderation records. Active room listings expire when heartbeats stop. Reports may be retained for up to 90 days. The application does not intentionally store source IP addresses, full chat history, world files, or Minecraft authentication tokens in the directory database. Minecraft packets pass through the relay only while a session is active.
SAFETY
Public rooms are operated by individual players. RelayRooms provides moderation and reporting tools but cannot guarantee player behavior or resolve every dispute. Hosts and participants must follow Minecraft's rules, applicable law, and the in-game terms shown before hosting or joining. Automated filters do not issue permanent global bans by themselves.
COMPATIBILITY
• Minecraft Java Edition 26.3
• Forge 66.0.3
