Description

Reinforced Tools
--New tools with a technical twist--
version: 0.5.1 - Initial Release-ish

ImNIARX.png

Reinforced Tools adds 4 new tool sets with new tool materials however, it takes a technical approach in making them. In addition to you vanilla tools, you can now make tools from Netherium, Reinforced Iron, Reinforced Lapis Lazuli, Reinforced Obsidian and Reinforced Quartz. To make ingots of each type you will need to compress your coal and combine it with a standard iron ingot. From there you can combine it with the basic form or your specified tool to create the new ingots.

Getting Started

In order to start playing with reinforced tools, you are going to want to craft some compressed coal. To do so, place 8 coal in a crafting grid as shown

Compressed Coal is required in crafting everything. Compressed coal can also be used as a fuel source equal to 8 pieces of coal.

Additionally, 9 Compressed Coal can also be placed in a crafting grid to create a Compacted Coal Block, which in turn can also be used as furnace fuel, equal to 72 pieces of coal.

Compressed Coal is the main ingredient in crafting Hardened Iron Ingots. These ingots are necessary if you are to create any of the added ingots.

Hardened Iron Ingots can be paired with any of 4 secondary ingredients to craft many of the different tools available to you.

Reinforced Ingots

Netherium Ingot

In order to make Netherium, you must combine a Nether Brick with a Hardened Iron Ingot in a crafting grid.

Reinforced Tools

A standard tool set including pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes and swords can be made from each type of ingot with the exception of the Reinforced Quartz Ingot.
The recipes for the tools are the same as Vanilla tools. Reinforced Lapis Tools are shown below:

Glowstone Harvester

Reinforced Quartz Ingots are used to make a specialty tool. The Glowstone Harvester is made to harvest glowstone.
Now you have a dedicated tool that can break glowstone fast.
jMoozGR.png
It is made with 3 Reinforced Quartz Ingots and 1 Reinforced Iron Ingot

Additionally, the Glowstone Harvester can be upgraded to automatically gain the silk touch enchantment (configurable)
To do so, you must add 2 Diamonds and an Emerald.
gq08UO2.png
Although the silk touch aspect will work on any silktouchable block, the only block it will be able to break fast is glowstone.

If the configuration option: gharvesterAutoSilkTouch is set to true, using the default Glowstone Harvester recipe will make the enchanted version.
