If you wear a normal helmet and you look at an Enderman, he (or she?) will get furious and start chasing you.
If you wear a pumpkin hat and look at an Enderman... Nothing happens.
Although, with a pumpkin, if you do somehow anger the Enderman or some other mob, the pumpkin will not give you any defence and it will obscure your view with an annoying overlay.
So this is where Reinforced Pumpkin comes in. It gives you three tiers of pumpkin hat: iron, gold, and of course diamond. Each helmet will give you the defence and armour toughness of the normal helmet, while also making you not anger Endermen by looking at them. Reinforced Pumpkins also do not have an overlay.
Each pumpkin is crafted in a shapeless recipe of a pumpkin and a new helmet.
*Notes*:
Reinforced Pumpkin does not currently support enchantments because of the mundane qualities of pumpkins.
