Redurium Expansion introduces four new tiers of materials—Bludurium, Redurium, Pudurium, and Cydurium—each offering significant improvements over vanilla equipment. What sets this mod apart is its innovative dual-upgrade system: upgrade your tools' materials for better stats, or enhance their handles for increased durability. The choice is yours.
🔧 Revolutionary Upgrade System
Material Progression
Progress through four distinct material tiers, each more powerful than the last:
- Bludurium - Slightly better than Iron, widely available in cave systems
- Redurium - Surpasses Diamond quality, found in the Purple Forest biome
- Pudurium - Exceeds Netherite capabilities, crafted by combining Bludurium and Redurium
- Cydurium - 3x stronger than Netherite, the ultimate end-game material
Dual-Upgrade Mechanics
The core innovation of Redurium Expansion lies in its two independent upgrade paths:
Path 1: Material Upgrades (via Smithing Table)
Upgrade Bludurium → Redurium → Pudurium → Cydurium using one of two methods:
Method A: Default Stick Upgrade (for tools with default sticks)
- Bludurium Tool + Iron Stick + Redurium Ingot = Redurium Tool
- Redurium Tool + Diamond Stick + Pudurium Ingot = Pudurium Tool
- Pudurium Tool + Netherite Stick + Cydurium Ingot = Cydurium Tool
Method B: Preserved Stick Upgrade (for tools with upgraded sticks)
- Bludurium Tool (Any Stick) + Bludurium Ingot + Redurium Ingot = Redurium Tool (Same Stick)
- Redurium Tool (Any Stick) + Redurium Ingot + Pudurium Ingot = Pudurium Tool (Same Stick)
- Pudurium Tool (Any Stick) + Pudurium Ingot + Cydurium Ingot = Cydurium Tool (Same Stick)
Example: A Bludurium Pickaxe with a Netherite Stick upgraded to Redurium will retain the Netherite Stick, preserving your durability investment.
Path 2: Handle Upgrades (via Smithing Table)
- Craft custom sticks: Iron Stick, Diamond Stick, and Netherite Stick
- Replace your tool's handle to gain massive durability bonuses
- Recipe: [Tool] + [Better Stick] + [Tool's Material Ingot] = [Tool with Better Stick]
- Must upgrade sequentially: Wooden → Iron → Diamond → Netherite
- Each handle tier provides additional durability and attack damage bonuses
Minimum Handle Requirements
Higher-tier materials require better handles:
- Bludurium: Any handle (Wooden+)
- Redurium: Requires Iron Stick minimum
- Pudurium: Requires Diamond Stick minimum
- Cydurium: Requires Netherite Stick (no exceptions)
This creates meaningful progression choices: invest in durability early, or rush for better materials? Both paths matter.

Valley Of Emptiness (Dimension)
A hauntingly beautiful dimension of solitude and silence.
- Portal Frame: Blue Ice blocks
- Ignition: Pudurium Flint & Steel
- Features: Tall spruce forests (~10 blocks high), dark blue fog, no mob spawning
- Purpose: A safe zone for building, mining, or industrial setups (perfect for Create mod factories)
- Exclusive Ore: Cydurium Ore (stone version) spawns here with low rarity
The Lost World (Dimension) [Coming Soon]
A dark, magical end-game dimension containing all three custom biomes.
- Portal Frame: Polished Blackstone Bricks
- Main Biome: Stone World - blackstone replaces all stone and dirt
- Planned Content: Unique structures, an ore beyond Cydurium, and challenging encounters
Purple Forest (Biome)
A mystical biome with vibrant purple vegetation.
- Generation: Overworld (6% chance) and The Lost World
- Features: Custom purple oak trees, purple grass, purple water, magenta sky
- Exclusive Ore: Redurium Ore (stone version) only spawns here
- Wood Set: Purple Oak Logs (fully purple bark), Gray Planks, Stairs, and Slabs
Valley Of Emptiness (Biome)
A cold, desolate biome shrouded in dark blue mist.
- Generation: Valley Of Emptiness dimension and The Lost World
- Features: Ice spikes, greenish water, obscured sun, cold climate
- Exclusive Ore: Cydurium Ore with higher spawn rates than elsewhere
Stone World (Biome) [Work In Progress]
The heart of The Lost World's end-game content.
- Features: Blackstone terrain, no trees, black/dark gray sky and fog
- Planned Content: Custom structures and the ultimate tier ore
