What's new

1.2.1 (NeoForge)

[Improvements]

  • The 3D preview on structure items and inside a placed structure was rebuilt: it is drawn from a cached copy instead of being rebuilt every frame, hidden faces are skipped, and the inventory/hand icon is sampled at half resolution. On a 32x32x32 structure the per-frame vertex cost drops by about 90% and the icon by about 92%.
  • The key panel of the structure block is a 6x6 grid of buttons with pages.
  • Four components now explain themselves: the three repeaters and the weather detector.
  • Rotation Rod: a fixed six-step cycle (north, east, south, west, up, down).
  • The Redstone Goggles can be crafted into any helmet: the helmet keeps its name, enchantments and durability and gains the goggles' effect.
  • Superconducting dust no longer latches when it wraps around the edge of a block.
  • A structure that is working makes its sound where the block that owns it stands, with normal distance falloff.
  • Blueprint and Pen: capturing a Create blueprint of a build that has components inside blocks stores those components, and placing the blueprint restores them; a blueprint that cannot be matched falls back to plain blocks instead of failing.

[Fixes]

  • Fixed: entering a world that contains a structure block with an armed selection could stall the loading screen.
  • A block placer that turns what it puts out into a physics structure now assembles at most one such structure per tick and checks the result; this fixes the crash that could happen when several fired at once.
  • A cell typed in the face table, the key panel or the output table now counts from the selection's first cell, so the numbers read the same before and after a capture (they used to shift by one when the controller was not the selection's corner).
