What's new

Added

  • Skin popup in the PetDex. It lists the base skin, the unlocked variants and the shiny toggle, and offers locked variants and shiny when the player holds a matching voucher.
  • "Obtenir un pet" button in the PetDex. It opens the server shop on the pets page when the core mod is present, and says so in chat otherwise.
  • Rare, mystery and mythic eggs in the Essence shop (2000, 2000 and 3000 Essence). Missing default entries are merged into an existing shop config without touching its prices.
  • GUI icons for Essence, the two small treats and the four eggs, painted by tools/gui/gen_icons.py.
  • Dive flight for the wyrmling, griffon, plumette and monarch butterfly mounts (catalog flag diveFlight): diving along the look builds speed up to three times cruise, the speed is held for a few seconds after pulling up, then bleeds back to cruise; climbing spends it. The body noses down and the wings fold back (new generated dive clip), wind streaks thicken and the view widens with the speed.

Changed

  • The PetDex grid has a scrollbar. It sits right of the cards when the collection runs past three rows, shows where the list stands, and its thumb can be dragged. The mouse wheel still works.
  • The skin popup reads "Shiny" instead of "Shiny : oui" or "Shiny : non". The highlight already tells whether it is on.
  • The PetDex collection page is simpler. The pet row keeps three buttons (Talents, Skin, Mode). A double click on a card equips the pet, or puts it away when it is already out. Treats are dragged from the header onto a card to feed it, and the header shows the Essence and treat counts with icons and tooltips.
  • Evolution is automatic. A pet evolves on its own as soon as it reaches the required level, on login and after a completion reward too. The scene only plays when the pet is out in the world.
  • The Mode button cycles follow, orbit, shoulder and deployed, and only shows for the equipped pet. Deployed is the companion toggle.
  • Eggs bought with Essence open right away with the egg roulette, instead of waiting in the egg stock.
  • The daily missions, shop and leaderboard pages drop their title. Missions and shop show the equipped pet in a box that turns, sits and hops. Shop rows have icons.
  • The leaderboard is a podium. The first three stand on blocks as skinned player figures (arms raised, waving, arms crossed), ranks 4 to 10 follow as a list, and hovering a name lists that player's pets.
  • Chat messages follow the Recraft house style. Every chat and action bar message opens with a bold red "!", runs in violet and shows its key elements in yellow. Commands quoted in a message are yellow and clickable, and those that need arguments fill the chat instead of running. Missing French accents are fixed along the way.
  • The cosmetic pet no longer gets in the way. In follow, orbit and shoulder modes it never catches the crosshair, so blocks behind it can be mined, hit or built on and projectiles fly through. Its owner can still right click it while sneaking, for the daily give an item mission.
  • Repoke can no longer be drawn. It was the season 10 pet, so eggs, the egg reel and Rebox random shiny rewards skip it. Players who already own it keep it and still see it in the PetDex.
  • Wyrmling fireball is always a single explosive ball. The "Double crachat" talent becomes "Crachat ardent" (explosion power 3 instead of 2), and the ball now keeps the dragon's own speed, so a fast dragon no longer overtakes it.
  • Dive flight keeps its speed after pulling up: the dive speed is held for 5 s instead of 2.5 s, fades over about 8 s, climbing costs less, and a dive reaches a higher top speed.
  • Unused particles removed: 65 legacy particle textures that nothing spawned are gone, and the model sync skips them so they do not come back.
  • New display stand model for all fifteen styles: the plain slab becomes a small pedestal (plinth, step, four corner posts around a recessed panel with a paw emblem, overhanging top with a sunken disc for the pet), still half a block high, with textures repainted per material. Models and textures come from tools/stand/gen_stands.py.
  • New egg model in the hatching scene: the smooth tinted ovoid becomes a stepped voxel egg in the pixel style of the pets, with its own skin per rarity (speckled cream, blue wave, violet stars, gold diamond band, crimson shell with molten veins). Epic and higher glow, brighter as the charge builds; the egg rocks during the charge, and on opening its lid pops off and tips over instead of the whole shell fading. Textures come from tools/egg/gen_eggs.py.
  • Ported to Fabric 1.20.1 (Fabric API 0.92.11, GeckoLib 4.7.4, Java 17) from the NeoForge 1.21.1 build. Same mod id, version, commands, permissions, config and data files.
  • Pet talents that relied on NeoForge events now run on mixins and Fabric callbacks: damage, death, falls, death loot, target changes and projectile impacts behave as before.
  • Ally marks on summoned helpers use entity tags instead of NeoForge persistent data.
  • Every talent tree is reworked. All twenty-one lineages have a bespoke kit in the style of Astrael and Kitsune: stacking marks, triggered bursts, a mount add-on and a level 100 form, each with its own particles and sounds. The mount add-ons act around the rider, since a mount power has no aim point.
  • Every pet animation is rebaked. Walk and run use leg IK so the feet plant instead of sinking, the body stays on the ground for knuckle-walkers, wings flap on a real cycle and loops close without a seam. Species clips such as the Repoke ball keep their authored motion.
  • The Kitsune baby and adult are remodelled to match its final form, with tighter hitboxes.
  • Beams are drawn, not sprayed. Chroma's prism ray, Givre's ice ray, Wisp's soul ray and Medusa's gaze share one layered renderer: a glow, a scrolling body, a hot core, strands, a turning sigil at the mouth and a flare where the ray really stops. Chroma's orbs trail a rainbow ribbon and lean gently toward an enemy straight ahead.
  • Medusa petrifies for real. A mob held in the gaze turns to stone: its AI stops, its pose freezes under a stone skin and it bursts free when the time runs out. Bosses are immune.
  • The Monarch's polymorph turns a monster into a butterfly that flies about like a passive mob, then gives the very same creature back. Only fighters are affected, never a boss. Charmed targets wear one steady golden heart instead of hearts that blink.
  • The Galet golem is rebuilt: a new model, rise, walk, slam and crumble clips, and an AI that follows its owner, picks hostile mobs near them and never strikes a player or an ally.
  • Plumette's tornado is a spinning funnel of wind and dust that stays upright on screen; Mochi's shots splash jelly and bubbles instead of green crumbs.
  • Evolution is a cinematic. The pet flashes between its two forms faster and faster, then bursts into the new one under pillars of light; the owner gets a slow orbit camera, which a sneak skips.
  • Every pet has an ambient aura on each stage, sized from its model.
  • Flight feels alive: takeoff push, momentum from dives, harder braking, a softened landing, a wing beat that follows the climb, wind streaks at speed, and a strike clip in mid air. A mount can sprint on the ground.
  • The Repoke baby and adult are back in their red and yellow colours; the Givre baby is an egg on small new legs; the Oeuflamme wings no longer sink into its body and its first two forms fly with real wing clips.
  • Oeuflamme's wings are real dragon wings at every stage: an arm, a forearm, a hooked thumb and four clawed fingers spreading membranes about 1.7 times the body's length, folded on the shoulders at rest. The wing beat now drives down and back, then folds up and forward.
  • Every particle a pet still spawns is rendered anew, eighty-three of them from the old hand drawn set: animated strips at 64 to 128 pixels, solid matter such as rocks, drops and ink drawn opaque rather than glowing.

Fixed

  • Dye and shiny vouchers now reach the PetDex. The snapshot never sent their counts, so the menu always believed the player had none.
  • Repoke's rolling ball (V) now hurts and knocks back the creatures it rolls over, and actually rolls three times faster. The server read the ridden mount's motion, which is always zero there, so the ball never seemed to move.
  • Rider seats on the ultimates: the rider now sits on the Repoke ball lid, on the Kitsune's back, clear of the Faucheur antennae and of the Galet, Magma and Plumette heads, on top of the Nacre and Champi instead of inside them, and hangs low behind the Mochi again. Ombrine carries a tiny rider on top of its head. Seat fixes shipped with the mod now reach every instance: the config file only holds seats and mouths tuned in game (marked "_tuned"), and an old full copy without that marker is ignored.
  • Wyrmling's fireball exploded on its own rider the moment it left the mouth.
  • The Repoke ball floated above the ground and slid instead of rolling.
  • The Monarch's polymorph could be spammed when it failed: the cooldown now arms on every exit.
  • One mount bite counted as two hits.
  • Seats were re-measured on the rebuilt models; Torchon, Faucheur, Vesper and Oeuflamme get a seat of their own, and Mochi, Galet, Plumette and Givre ultimates no longer seat the rider inside or above them.
  • The Galet golem summoned by its first quake talent was weaker than without it: the talent value replaced the base strength instead of adding to it.
  • Chroma prism and Medusa gaze opening nodes granted exactly the default value, so the first node did nothing. They now raise the total (prism beam 6 s, orbs 2, gaze 5 s). A server that already wrote config/recraftpets/talents.json keeps its saved values until that file is removed or edited.
  • Channel beams (Chroma, Givre, Wisp, Medusa) are now drawn from the mouth to the exact point where the server ray stops, instead of a direction re-derived on the client.
  • Wyrmling and Oeuflamme fireball volleys blew up at the muzzle: the balls of one volley hit each other on their first tick. A projectile now never hits another one from the same shooter.
  • Spamming the attack now replays the strike every time. A layered running bite was skipped every second hit (the stopped controller kept the finished clip and ignored the identical one), the attack state ended before the clip did, and a finished clip snapped the pet to its rest pose. A mount bite clicked during the previous one is now queued instead of dropped.
  • The Monarch's polymorph made creatures immortal: the butterfly could not be hurt and the creature came back with its old health. The butterfly now carries the creature's max and current health, can be hit, hands its wounds back when the spell ends, and when it is killed the creature dies from the same blow with its own loot and experience. Its hitbox follows its size.
  • The Repoke's swallow left creatures visible inside the ball, and a rider dismounting mid-digestion left them held for good. Swallowed creatures now leave the world entirely (kept in the Repoke's own save, so an unload, a relog or a restart never loses or duplicates them), then are spat out forward in a burst and take all the digestion damage at once. Dismounting, the Repoke's death or its recall empties the stomach immediately.
  • The Galet golem slid and snapped instead of walking: it was moved by hand in straight lines, turned on the spot and jumped between positions on screen. It is now a real mob that finds its way around obstacles, climbs one block, falls, turns in a heavy arc and moves smoothly, with a walk clip that keeps pace with its actual speed.
  • Fireballs and other mount shots fired with the muzzle in a wall or the ground exploded at the pet's mouth and tore up the terrain. The spawn point now stops short of the first block on the way out, or stays at the body center when even that is blocked.
  • Effects that follow a creature (marks, auras, petrification) could attach to the wrong one or vanish on a long-running server: entity ids travelled as floats and lost precision. They are now sent as exact integers.
  • The Galet golem's eyes and chest crack now glow as their texture intended instead of staying dark.
  • Medusa's petrification on modded creatures drawn with GeckoLib froze them without the stone look. They now wear the same stone skin as vanilla mobs and hold their pose instead of playing their idle under it.
