Description

Reclaimed

People vanished decades ago. Nature took their world back.

Reclaimed is a quiet, atmospheric world type. There is no story, no new mobs and no new survival mechanics: just a world where everything people built has been left alone for a very long time, slowly sinking into moss, rust, water and silence.

Pick World Type: Reclaimed when you create a new world and go exploring.

What you will find

  • Five biomes: Overgrown Suburbs, Rust Fields, Flooded Lowlands, Wild Farmlands and City Ruins.
  • Abandoned places: houses, small towns, crumbling high-rises, gas stations, farms, broken wind turbines, a school, a chapel, a hidden bunker and more. Each one is overgrown a little differently.
  • Old, twisted trees growing through roofs, roads and flooded fields.
  • A heavy atmosphere: a grey hazy sky, morning mist, falling leaves, dust in dark rooms, fireflies at night and crows overhead.
  • Over 30 new blocks: concrete, mossy concrete that slowly spreads, cracked asphalt, rusted metal, rubble, broken glass and litter.

Loot is plain vanilla items that fit the place. Atmosphere effects can be turned off in the settings (Mod Menu or a key in Controls). The built-in Reclaimed Ground resource pack gives dirt and grass a darker, mossier look; you can switch it off under Resource Packs.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.11, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+, Fabric API
  • Mod Menu is optional
  • Install on both the client and the server. For a dedicated server set level-type=reclaimed:reclaimed in server.properties before the world is generated.

Vanilla worlds are not changed, and the mod works alongside most other mods.
