Recipe Studio
Edit server recipes in game, with an optional editor inside JEI.
Recipe Studio lets server administrators create, copy, change and disable recipes without manually writing a datapack. Install it on your server and on the administrator's client to use the editor. Regular players do not need Recipe Studio installed.
Features
- Open a recipe in JEI and use the editor button in the lower left corner. Drag ingredients from JEI into editable slots.
- Change inputs, outputs, item counts and fluid amounts.
- Add and remove results, then configure supported output chances or weights.
- Edit recipe parameters such as energy, mana, processing time and heat when the recipe exposes them.
- Edit shaped crafting grids, including Create mechanical crafting layouts.
- Manage Create sequenced assembly steps, their order and loop count. Compatible steps are discovered from loaded recipes and registered serializers.
- Configure Botania runic altar return ingredients and mana pool catalysts.
- Save recipes on the server, disable them, or restore the original versions.
- Transfer changes between servers using the mod's JS import/export format.
- Use the F8 editor when JEI is not installed.
Requirements and installation
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.250 or later in the 21.1 branch
- Java 21
- Optional: JEI for NeoForge 1.21.1, version 19 or later
Install Recipe Studio in the server's mods folder. Administrators who want the in-game editor also install the same version on their client. Ordinary players do not need this mod. Other content mods required by your modpack must still be installed normally.
Editing requires operator permission level 3 or 4. Open a recipe in JEI and click the editor button, or press F8. After editing, finish the current settings screen and save the recipe to apply it on the server.
The current editor interface is in Russian.
Compatibility
Recipe Studio uses Minecraft's recipe JSON and serializer system. Server changes are applied through a datapack and the standard reload pipeline. Create, Botania, Spectrum and Immersive Engineering recipes have been tested, but support depends on each recipe's format and serializer rules.
The editor cannot make a machine accept properties its serializer does not support. Some mod mechanics and JEI displays are not ordinary Minecraft recipes and may need a dedicated adapter. Addon assembly steps with required custom fields may need an existing recipe as a template.
Create's generated brewing recipes have a dedicated adapter. Clients without Recipe Studio can use the changed server recipe, but their JEI display may still show the original generated brewing recipe.
Create, JEI and the other content mods are separate downloads and are not bundled with Recipe Studio.
