RBHUD β One HUD to rule them all.
Tired of clashing mod buttons and mismatched menus? RBHUD reskins your whole interface in one clean Rebuild theme β and becomes the shared backbone every RB mod plugs into. Install it once, and the entire suite suddenly fits together.
β‘ One mod. Every menu. Zero clutter.
No more four mods slapping a button at the exact same pixel and overlapping into mush. No more an inventory that looks nothing like the hotbar that looks nothing like the creative screen. RBHUD owns the HUD β it reskins it, organizes it, and hands every other mod a clean place to live.
That's the deal: one install, and your whole UI speaks the same language.
π The Inventory β Dressed to impress
Survival, creative, search, saved hotbars β all wearing the same tailored Rebuild skin.
| 𧡠Full reskin | Survival inventory, creative item tabs, the search panel and Saved Hotbars all get the Rebuild treatment β down to the scrollbars |
| π·οΈ Animated category tabs | Creative tabs rise on select, tuck behind the panel, and slide with smooth motion instead of snapping |
Best for: anyone who's ever winced at a vanilla menu bolted onto a beautiful modpack.
βοΈ The Hotbar β Battle-ready
A decorated bar, a sharper selection highlight, and every gauge sitting exactly where it should.
| π‘οΈ Reskinned bar & highlight | Custom hotbar art and selection sprite replace the flat vanilla strip |
| β€οΈ Lifted gauges | Hearts, armor, hunger, air and the XP bar are raised cleanly above the decorated bar β no overlap, no mess |
Best for: players who want their combat HUD to look as good as it plays.
ποΈ The Side Tabs β Sleek, sliding, smart
Banners tuck behind your inventory. Only the tip peeks out. Click β and they glide open to reveal a living logo.
| πͺ§ Slide-to-open tabs | Click the tip to open or close; click the center square (the logo) to fire the mod's action |
| π΄ Notification state | A tab lights up the moment a mod has something new for you β switchable live |
| ποΈ Animated icons | The tab face shows an item, a custom texture, or a fully animated sprite sheet |
Best for: modpacks where every mod wants a button β and none of them should fight for space.
π― What makes it feel good
This isn't a texture pack you forget about. RBHUD is the traffic controller of your screen:
- 𧩠Zero collisions β buttons, tabs and overlays are sorted, stacked and placed automatically. Two mods at the same corner? RBHUD spaces them for you.
- π Pixel-aligned reskins β every panel is measured against vanilla slot-by-slot, so your armor, grid and hotbar line up perfectly.
- πͺ Corner overlays, anchored β drop a widget in any of the four corners; RBHUD computes the slot and hands your mod ready-to-draw coordinates.
Open your inventory and watch a whole modpack's worth of UI line up like it was designed together. Because now it is.
βοΈ Built for servers β and for builders
- β Server-safe β the API is fully neutral; on a dedicated server it registers nothing to render and simply no-ops
- β Drop-in for mod devs β register a button, tab or overlay in a few lines. No Mixin, no AT on your side.
- β
Immutable, builder-based API β
SidebarButton,SideTab,HudOverlay, allorder-sorted and placed for you - β The backbone of the suite β designed so RBDaily, RBDailyQuests, RBJobs & co. share one consistent HUD instead of reinventing it
- β Clean NeoForge hooks for placement; reskins handled internally so consumers never touch a Mixin
RBHudApi.registerSideTab(
SideTab.builder("rbjobs:job")
.order(300)
.sprite(SpriteSheet.strip(JOB_ICON, 16, 8, 80)) // animated logo
.notified(() -> JobsClient.hasUnread())
.onClick(() -> Minecraft.getInstance().setScreen(new JobSelectionScreen()))
.build());
π¦ Install
Drop the JAR into your mods folder. That's it. No config to edit, no dependency hunt.
Requires: Minecraft 1.21.1 + NeoForge 21.1+ + Java 21. No other dependencies.
π Roadmap
The reskin and the API are live. Next up: migrating the whole RB suite onto RBHUD so every mod's button becomes a clean side tab β one unified HUD, no leftover widgets.
Building an RB mod? Plug into the API. Have a HUD idea? Open an issue. RBHUD is made for the Rebuild IV - Catalyst modpack, but it stands on its own.
One install. The whole interface falls into place.
