Description

Re:Null - Abilities & Death System
Re:Null introduces supernatural abilities, a rebirth system, and unique death animations that change depending on how you die.
Invisible Hand
Invisible Hand is a standalone ability and does require the Hand fruit.
Press H to summon a long, spectral arm from your body. The owner can clearly see the translucent black-and-purple limb, complete with an animated hand and articulated fingers. Other players can barely see it — only faint distortions, particles, and the movement of affected targets reveal its presence.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| H | Summon / dismiss the Invisible Hand |
| LMB | Punch and knock back a target |
| Hold RMB | Grab a mob or player |
| Move your camera | Move the grabbed target |
| LMB while grabbing | Throw the target in the direction you are looking |
| Release RMB | Release the target |
The Hand has a default range of 9 blocks. A punch deals 9 damage, while throwing a target deals 5 damage and launches them with physical velocity.
Using the ability comes at a cost. Repeated punches, grabs, and throws build up physical strain. Your screen begins to shake, your breathing becomes heavier, movement slows down, a pain vignette appears, and black particles surround your character.
In Survival Mode, excessive use can even drain your real health. Strain remains after dismissing the Hand and must gradually recover through rest. Push yourself too far and the Invisible Hand will automatically disappear.
Walls block the Hand, and certain bosses, protected players, or targets restricted by server PvP settings cannot be grabbed.
Cor Leonis - Souls of Allies
Cor Leonis allows you to perceive the souls of your allies and take their burden upon yourself.
To awaken Cor Leonis, eat the:
Lionheart Fruit
It can be found in the Creative food tab or crafted using an Apple + Amethyst Shard + Gold Nugget + Honey Bottle in any arrangement.
Once awakened, Cor Leonis is permanently unlocked. You do not need to eat another fruit after dying, respawning, or reconnecting.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| R | Activate / deactivate Cor Leonis |
| Hold V | Enter the consciousness space |
| G | Select the next soul |
| B | Take / release the selected soul's burden |
| LMB in consciousness | Select the soul closest to the center of your screen |
| RMB in consciousness | Take / release that soul's burden |
While holding V, you gradually enter a special consciousness space where your allies appear as souls within a constellation.
Time does not stop while you are inside. Enemies and the outside world continue moving, making the ability dangerous to use carelessly during combat.
Allies
Cor Leonis only reveals the souls of allies. Players are considered allies if they are on the same Minecraft /team or have established a mutual Cor Leonis connection.
Send a request with:
/corleonis invite <name>
The other player accepts with:
/corleonis accept <owner_name>
Connections persist between sessions and can be removed with:
/corleonis remove <name>
The other player does not need Cor Leonis for their soul to be visible.
Return & Rebirth
Death is not necessarily the end.
Re:Null features a custom rebirth/return system. Instead of death being nothing more than Minecraft's standard respawn screen, dying becomes part of the experience.
After death, the player goes through a dedicated death sequence before returning to their checkpoint.
5 Circumstance-Based Death Animations
The mod currently features 5 different death animations.
The animation is automatically selected based on how the player died, rather than randomly choosing one. Different circumstances therefore produce different death sequences.
Falls, explosions, creatures, and other lethal situations can trigger their own animations.
