Rats and Cats

In ancient ruins you can find nests of wild rats. If you destroy the nest and pick up a baby rat, you can feed it milk from a bottle and put it in a cozy home nest.

A rat will go through several growth stages before it becomes an adult. At each growth phase it starves. While the baby rat is small, it is worth feeding it milk. But when he becomes a young rat, he should be given pieces of cheese.

Cheese can be obtained from milk by adding a mushroom to it and obtaining a starter culture. After that, you should bake it in the oven and you will get a block of cheese that can be taken apart into cheese pieces.

Adult rats can be tamed with pieces of cheese. Rats also need to be bred using pieces of cheese. But they don't give birth to adults right away. They give birth to small babies that need to be fed. An injured rat can be cured with pieces of cheese.

Adult tamed rats can be equipped with armor. There is iron, gold, diamond and netherite armor. You can also create a rocket rat. Just give the rat a rocket. All rats will protect their owner from hostile mobs. The Rocket Rat will hit targets at range by firing explosive charges at the enemy.

You can remove all the equipment from the rats with scissors. If you have wild rats, they will ruin your harvest, as well as gnaw at chests, workbenches, and more. 

Lazy country cats won't catch wild rats. For this job you will need a real Ratcatcher. To get a rat catcher, give the ocelot rat meat and it will start catching rats.

In the future I'm going to expand the mod even more. I plan to add more functionality to cats and domestic rats.
