Rat King Transformation

An unofficial Minecraft fan mod based on the Rat King character from Deadlock. Transform into the Rat King with a custom animated model, three helper rats, royal clothing and a battle-damaged appearance. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve. Created with AI assistance.

Features

• Full Rat King transformation with a crown, necklace, shoulder pieces, feathers, cape and articulated tail.
• Three small rats help dress the character during the transformation and repair sequence.
• Quadruped sprinting and a forward pounce, with travel distance affected by movement speed.
• Clothing becomes damaged below 30% health. After recovering and spending five seconds in a suitable grounded state, the helpers return to replace the damaged outfit while you retain movement and combat control.
• Equipped armor attributes are retained in rat form, but armor visuals and special armor functions are disabled. Permanent maximum-health gains are preserved through transformations.

Place the Rat King JAR in your mods folder and remove older Rat King versions. Use matching versions on the client and server. This is a Beta release.

Controls

• G: transform / revert. Transformation requires a suitable grounded state, outside water and vehicles.
• Left Shift: quadruped sprint in rat form.
• Configured Jump key while sprinting: pounce. Key bindings can be changed in Controls.

Optional integrations

• Wolverine Claws & Healing adds steel-claw abilities and climbing. test36 supports the r74 climbing and corner-turning interface, with fallbacks for older interfaces.
• Timeless and Classics Zero (TACZ): firearm rendering integration.
• ParCool: movement integration. These integrations are optional and their mods are not bundled in this download.
