Description

What ARE Rasites?

Rasites are a species of small, endermite-like creatures that have the ability to infect and control a multitude of entities across the 3 Dimensions.

Although small, these little things are incredibly durable and have been known to adapt to both their surroundings and those that hunt it.

Arm your flint and Smelt your iron, you're in for an awful time.

Enisites

Enisites are the heart of this mod, without them this whole thing wouldn't have happened (a good or bad thing? who knows...)

Let's see what's in store for the End.

Enisites

These are the Rasites that have adapted to the End and their inhabitants, they are durable to almost all weapons (fire seems to get em) and are the only Rasite found to have 2 variants, "Normal" and "Feral".

Keep these things away from anything you hold close in the End, they will not hesitate.

The Infection

Any Enisites will transmit their infection on-hit with any End-based creature, given a short time, the victim's body will either fight off the parasite or succumb to it. Any creature that fights off the parasite once will gain an immunity to any future infection.

On the rare chance an Enderman fights off the infection, it can rarely become a "Pure Enderman" that seeks out any and all Enisite-related creatures within crowds of Endermen in an attempt to save their species from a total takeover. Now... What about when they fail?

Endermen

Infection

Infected Endermen

Infected Endermen are the most common and tedious of the infections, resistant to direct attacks, it lurks and hides amongst the Endermen, occasionally bursting an Enisite from its mouth to continue the infection, all while preparing to continue it's own development within the Enderman's body.

Endfected Endermen

If an Infected Enderman lasts long enough around other Endermen, it will grow and mutate to take out any remaining immune Endermen, finalising the Infection of The End.

These beasts are incredibly fast and wield atrocious strength, staying as far as possible from them is crucial for your survival.

Feral Infection

Feral Infected Endermen

Feral Infected Endermen are much easier to spot amongst a crowd of Endermen, along with the fact their eyes glow far brighter, you will also become their immediate prey upon entering their range, attacking as a group, they can make short work of you and your possible friends.

Feral Endfected Endermen

Feral Endfected Endermen are more commonly seen as an immediate response to a player's attack, using their single large, overgrown arm they swing at anyone and deal huge damage, they are hard to kill and even harder to run from. They also smell bad, is the body rotting?

 Endermites

Endermites aren't safe from the Infection, obviously these are much rarer to come across due to Endermites' own rarity, but they aren't any less deadly.

Infection

Spinfmite

Spinfmite are oddly Spider-like creatures that scuttle around The End. Occasionally they will place down an Enisite Hive, contributing greatly to the continuation of The Infection.

Enisite Hives

This is where infections will primarily come from, these hives will house Enisites within and allow them to pop out for infection when an Enderman is nearby, they can be found naturally within the Outer End but can also be built by a Spinfmite.

 Feral Infection

The Feral Spinfmite Is a creature that self-mutates once a Feral Endermite has existed for long enough, these little things will jump, glide and bite at almost anything that moves, most likely you.

 Shulkers

Infection

Once a Shulker succumbs to a normal Enisite Infection, it will lose its body and become a Shulker Hive, a type of Enisite Hive that only houses Feral Enisites within.

 Feral Infection

Feral Infected Shulker

These creatures take a far less subtle and much more aggressive method of infection, rather than blending in, they become violent and attack any nearby entities, if they do this enough their bodies will change and grow to adapt and strengthen for other foes. Upon death the body may become a Shulker Hive.

Feral Endfected Shulker

These beasts conquer their land, growing "Ensite Blocks"* into the ground that spreads out into other End-based Blocks, standing on these blocks have awful effects on the victim, made worse if a Feral Shulker is nearby, worsening the effects. They attack exactly like the Feral Infected Shulker but stronger, they will also become a Shulker Hive on death.

*The Ensite blocks will only spread if an Endfected Shulker is nearby and decay over time.

 Mutations

Mutations are when an Unstable Rasite Core is used upon an Endfected creature, causing them to go above and beyond their final stage, becoming a stronger, scarier and often unstable version of their prior form, in other words, these are the Bosses of the Enisites, posing a large challenge with an even larger reward*, gear up and be ready.
Once used, you will have a few seconds before the body of the Endfected grows so use your time wisely.

*As of release 1.0.0, no boss drops loot, the very next update will include loot, weapons etc.

**As of release 1.1.0+ All bosses drop loot and Trophies* etc.

Endermen

Mutant Endfected Endermen

The Mutant Endfected Enderman is an aggressive leader that's mouth has grown and torn whilst also sprouting horns (a possible sign of dominance to others).

This Boss will charge towards Players and deal large damage, whilst they take more damage they will pull you in closer and occasionally summon other Endfected Endermen to assist in defeating the Player within this tough battle.

Upon Defeat you will be rewarded (Among other things) with a placeable Trophy.

 Mutant Feral Endfected Endermen

The Feral Variant of the Mutated Endfected Enderman smells even worse than its prior form, the main body seems to be rotting whilst the previously large arm is now the actual Feral Enisite launching at Players.

This Boss will mindlessly chase and launch the Player in an attempt to take them out, it seemingly absorbs nutrients from the almost decomposed body... Perhaps there is something beyond this form?

Upon Defeat you will be rewarded (Among other things) with a placeable Trophy.

Endermites

Spinfmite

The Mutated Spinfmite is a huge creature that can run incredibly fast and is able to pull the Player in with ease, poisoning and slowly killing the Player. During the fight the Boss will summon many Spinfmites to get to the Player whilst the Boss itself pulls the Player and ties them up.

Upon Death it seemingly releases many Spinfmites from within it's corpse.

Trophy added in 1.1.1+

As of Update 1.1, The Mutated Spinfmite does not Drop a Trophy, not to worry! As it will drop a Token that will be able to be redeemed INTO a Trophy in a future Update!

I'd hate for anyone to miss out on a trophy ;)

Feral Spinfmite

coming in a later update!

Shulker

The Mutated Shulker is a huge beast that has all the attributes of its prior form and more, throwing Enisite blocks as a projectile, summoning the Infected and Endfected, this Boss is a force to be reckoned with, to easily defeat it is to target the "Shulkores" that surround it on podiums, dealing large damage. Be prepared however as it will heal and become even more aggressive the lower it's health is.

Good Luck.

Upon Defeat you will be rewarded (Among other things) with a placeable Trophy.

The Shrine

The Rasite Shrine is a strange Block that eminates an elusive energy that can seemingly be activated and harnessed under specific conditions.

Once the Shrine is right-clicked with a Mutant Heart, it will glow and will activate within the World

With a Soul-Flame underneath and Thunder in the sky, right-clicking with Mutant Goop will trigger the Heart within and it will attach to an empty slot on your Body going from top to bottom.

Each Piece will give you constant potion effects and strengthen your general abilities across your body.

Creating a Goop Handle and Right-clicking the shrine will cause the Heart to attach to the Handle and create a Channeler.

Right-clicking this Channeler will give immediate Full-Health and two possible effects, with Heart-Armour Pieces you will get even stronger buffs of their existing powers, without however - Just the general buffs. The Item will then go on cooldown.

Teasers and Updates and Such:

Update 1.1!

I hope everyone has been enjoying 1.0! But thankfully you can say goodbye to the bare-bones Rasites of old and enter the newest update!

1.2 Will most likely take a little longer than 1.1 but i promise it will be worth it!

Maybe in 1.2 the focus will be briefly taken off the End... Are Phantoms looking odd to anyone else lately?...

100 Downloads!

A big thank you to everyone who has downloaded the mod so far! I hope you're all enjoying it.

Thank you for 100 downloads! Genuinely didn't expect my silly little Rasites to get that much but im glad it has, i've been grinding hard on the next update.

So what's next?

Well the next update doesn't have a specific name yet but it's been nicknamed "Deck of Hearts" by myself and some friends so take that as you will.

Since Rasites got 100 downloads here is a little teaser for Rasites 1.1!

Again, thank you for 100 downloads! 1.1 Should release soon.
