Description:
RareVillages makes villages much rarer, not by decreasing the chance of them spawning, but by increasing the space between them. You can use Jacobsjo's Minecraft Datapack Map to view the difference between Vanilla Minecraft and RareVillages. Terralith is supported in this version. RareVillages also groups vanilla Villages and Fortified Villages together. This means that you wont find a Fortified Village right next to a vanilla Village, unlike what you could find in Terralith alone.
Vanilla Villages:
- Without RareVillages, villages will spawn 34 chunks away from each other on average, with a minimum distance of just 8 chunks.
- With RareVillages installed, villages will spawn 75 chunks away from each other on average, with a minimum distance of 34 chunks.
Fortified Villages (Terralith):
- Without RareVillages, Fortified villages will spawn 46 chunks away from each other on average, with a minimum of just 18 chunks.
- With RareVillages installed, Fortified villages will spawn 75 chunks away from each other on average, with a minimum distance of 34 chunks.
Compatibility:
- This datapack is not compatible with Spigot/Paper and their forks.
- Terralith is Required to run this data pack.
If you don't want to use Terralith, or use a Spigot fork, you can find the vanilla version of RareVillages here.
