RareMoon is a mod for Minecraft that occasionally causes a rare moon type to appear, affecting gameplay for the night.

A rare moon rises…

RareMoon has a chance of replacing the moon with a rare variety every night.  As the sun sets and the moon rises, your fate rests with our nearest celestial body.

Blood Moon The blood moon increases damage taken by all living creatures.  Channel the fury of the blood moon to strike down your foes, but do not forget your blood will flow just as freely.

Fortune Moon The fortune moon increases drops when mining ores.  Capitalize on the generosity of the fortune moon to increase your profits twofold.

Harvest Moon The harvest moon increases yield from crops and animals alike, while increasing the speed of growth.  Reap the rewards of the harvest moon and make hay while the moon shines.   

Blue Moon The blue moon randomly applies status effects to players.  Take a chance on the blue moon to grant you feather falling as you plummet to your death or curse you with slowness as you escape a horde of zombies.
