# Rare Rich Veins

## Overview

**Rare Rich Veins** is a Minecraft Java Edition **26.2 mod** that adds rare, naturally generated large ore deposits to newly generated chunks.

Unlike normal ore generation, Rich Veins generate as a completely separate system. Vanilla ore generation remains unchanged.

Rich Veins are intentionally uncommon and are designed to feel like exciting discoveries while exploring and mining, rather than providing an unlimited source of valuable materials.

Veins generate in large, irregular, branching formations and automatically support both **stone** and **deepslate** ore variants where appropriate.

Rich Veins only generate in **newly explored chunks**. Existing chunks will not be modified.

During normal gameplay, generation always follows the configured percentages. Testing commands temporarily bypass these chances so each ore can be tested easily.

## 🛠️ Commands & Configuration

### Commands

`/richveins info`

Displays information about Rare Rich Veins, including enabled ores and the current configuration.

`/richveins reload`

Reloads supported configuration values without requiring a game or server restart.

`/richveins test <ore>`

Forces a Rich Vein of the selected ore to generate for testing purposes.

### Supported Ores

* `coal`
* `iron`
* `copper`
* `gold`
* `redstone`
* `lapis`
* `diamond`
* `emerald`

After a test vein successfully generates, its coordinates are displayed in **yellow** in chat.

Clicking the coordinates automatically fills the following teleport command into the chat box:

`/tp @s x y z`

This allows server administrators and developers to quickly locate and inspect generated Rich Veins.

## ⚙️ Configuration

Rare Rich Veins provides server-side configuration options that allow you to:

* Enable or disable individual ores
* Change generation chances for each ore
* Change minimum and maximum vein sizes
* Adjust generation height ranges
* Configure allowed dimensions
* Control cave exposure
* Adjust spacing between valuable Rich Veins
* Enable debug logging
* Disable Rich Vein generation entirely

## 🌐 Compatibility

Rare Rich Veins works in both **singleplayer worlds** and **dedicated servers**.

Rich Vein generation is handled separately from vanilla ore generation, allowing the mod to add rare large deposits without replacing or removing Minecraft's normal ores.

> **Important:** Rich Veins only appear in chunks generated after the mod is installed. Previously generated chunks will remain unchanged.
