Ranch.

Guys… it’s ranch. Do I need to say more?

Inspired by the world discovering America’s favorite condiment, Ranch. adds one simple, essential survival item to Minecraft:

The Ranch Bottle.

Put it on food.
Eat the food.
Become better.

That’s it.

Crafting and Usage

Craft a Ranch Bottle, then apply it to almost any edible item.

To use ranch:

  1. Hold the Ranch Bottle in one hand.
  2. Hold any edible item in your other hand.
  3. Right-click to add ranch.

Okay fine, for the numbers people

Ranch. is a lightweight, vanilla-friendly Forge mod that lets you apply ranch to edible items in Minecraft.

If Minecraft considers it food, it can probably be ranched.

Apples? Ranch.
Bread? Ranch.
Steak? Obviously ranch.
Rotten Flesh? Unfortunately ranch.
Enchanted Golden Apple? Especially ranch.

What Does Ranch Do?

Applying ranch to food gives it configurable bonuses.

By default, ranched foods gain:

+25% Hunger
+25% Saturation

Ranched food keeps its original name and item data, so it works with vanilla foods and most modded foods automatically.

Once a food has been ranched, it cannot be ranched again.

There are rules.
Not many.
But there are rules.

Features

  • Adds the Ranch Bottle
  • Apply ranch to edible items
  • Works with vanilla and most modded foods
  • Default bonus: +25% Hunger and +25% Saturation
  • Bonuses are configurable
  • Ranch Bottle has 32 uses
  • Ranched foods get a tooltip and subtle drizzle overlay
  • Includes custom ranch sounds, particles, and advancements
  • Lightweight, multiplayer-safe, and vanilla-friendly

Modpack Options

For modpack creators who fear the power of ranch, the bonuses can be adjusted.

Config options include:

  • Change the hunger bonus
  • Change the saturation bonus
  • Disable bonuses for powerful “god foods”
  • Exclude specific items from receiving ranch bonuses

So yes, you can stop players from putting ranch on divine reality-bending apples.

But should you?

Advancements

  • Hidden Valley
  • Everything Gets Ranch
  • That’s Illegal.
  • They Were Right…
  • American Cuisine

Final Notes

This mod does not add machines.

It does not add crops.

It does not add a complicated condiment processing pipeline.

It adds ranch.

Because that’s enough.
