Blow stuff up, earn coins, go shopping. Every natural block you mine or blow up pays coins. Craft a TNT Door, walk through it into a shared shop world, and spend your coins on whatever has been put up for sale in item frames. Eight new kinds of TNT and a landmine help you earn faster.
How it works
- Earn coins. Break natural blocks by hand or blow them up with TNT you lit. Each block pays 3 coins.
- Craft a TNT Door. Surround any wooden door with 8 TNT, place it, and walk through it.
- Go shopping. In the shop world, right-click an item in an item frame to buy one.
Coins
- You get 3 coins for every natural block you destroy, whether you mine it or blow it up.
- Explosions pay the player who set them off. That includes chain reactions and TNT from other mods, as long as the TNT remembers who lit it the way vanilla TNT does.
- Blocks placed by players pay nothing.
- TNT set off by redstone or fire, creeper explosions, landmines and players in Creative earn nothing.
- Your balance is shown in the top-left corner of the screen and is kept when you die.
The TNT Door and the shop world
Craft a TNT Door from a wooden door surrounded by 8 TNT. Walk through it and you arrive on a platform in the shop world, which all players share. The door on the platform takes you back to where you came from.
The shop world is protected. Survival players switch to Adventure mode while they are there, explosions are disabled, and nobody can knock items out of frames or break the shop. If you fall off the platform, you land right back on it.
Setting up a shop
Shops are built in Creative mode.
- Place item frames in the shop world and put items in them.
- Sneak and right-click a framed item to set its price, or mark it as not for sale.
- Survival players right-click the frame to buy one. The coins come off their balance and the item goes into their inventory.
Stock never runs out. Looking at a priced frame shows its price under your crosshair.
Explosives
| Explosive | What it does | Recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Slab TNT | Half-height TNT with a slightly smaller blast | 3 TNT in a row, makes 6 |
| Flat TNT | Flattens terrain. Clears a circle 17 blocks across and 10 blocks tall, starting at its own level, and leaves the ground below alone | TNT with a slab above and below it |
| Small TNT | Half-size TNT with a small blast | 1 TNT, makes 4 |
| Tiny TNT | Quarter-size TNT that pops like a firecracker | 1 Small TNT, makes 4 |
| Spread Flat TNT | A Flat TNT blast that also flings 6 more Flat TNTs outward in a ring | Gunpowder with a Flat TNT on each side |
| Cluster TNT | Explodes and scatters 8 Small TNTs that go off a moment later | TNT surrounded by 8 Small TNT |
| Firework TNT | Rockets about 20 blocks into the sky and bursts into fireworks | TNT and a firework rocket |
| Hexagon TNT | A pink hexagonal slab that blows a hexagon-shaped crater 15 blocks across | TNT and pink dye |
| Landmine | Clicks when a player or mob steps on it, then explodes half a second later | Redstone on top, then iron ingot, TNT, iron ingot. Makes 2 |
Flat, Spread Flat and Hexagon blasts break anything regular TNT can break, and leave obsidian, bedrock, water and lava alone. Landmines never trigger for players in Creative, so you can set traps safely. Everything is in the Rain's Shop & Explosives creative tab.
