Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Ragdollified 1.2.0
Added
- Fabric support! Ragdollified is now available on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 26.1.2, 26.2, and 26.3. Forge and NeoForge support remain available.
- Armor trims: Armor trims now appear on ragdolls.
- Resource pack support: Mobs with custom models from resource packs now keep their appearance when they become ragdolls
- Custom mob ragdolls: Added support for configuring ragdolls for modded mobs using their own models.
- Whitelist settings: Choose exactly which mobs can become ragdolls.
- Tropical fish: Ragdolls now preserve each fish's unique shape and pattern.
- NeoForge config screen: Open Ragdollified's settings directly from the Mods menu.
Changed
- Improved ragdoll controls: First-person arms and held items are hidden while ragdolled, and mouse buttons are disabled so you can't accidentally fire weapons or use items.
- Smoother dragging: Bodies now ease into position when grabbed instead of snapping instantly.
- Better body physics: Ragdolls react more naturally to movement, impacts, explosions, and broken blocks.
- Improved shotgun damage: Shotgun pellets hitting the same body now combine their damage, preventing a single shot from launching bodies unrealistically far.
- Better mod compatibility: Bodies held in place by other mods no longer count toward the ragdoll limit.
- Improved death behavior: Player bodies remain in the world until the player respawns or leaves, even if the normal ragdoll lifetime expires.
- Updated configs: Configuration files are now stored in
config/ragdollified/. Existing settings are carried over automatically. - Live config updates: Configured and config file changes now apply without restarting, and updated settings reach players already connected.
- Improved limb visuals: Detached limbs retain their original textures, armor, and damage effects.
- Better mob proportions: Improved ragdoll sizing, joint positions, and animations across many mobs, including baby animals and variants.
- Updated shoulder and hip movement: Adjusted default joint limits for more natural-looking humanoid ragdolls.
Fixed
- Fixed missing capes and armor enchantment effects.
- Fixed ragdolls appearing in the wrong position when mobs died while moving or falling.
- Fixed limbs getting stuck pointing upward and legs spreading unnaturally far apart.
- Fixed bodies losing momentum when mobs died while running.
- Fixed bullets passing through bodies at close range, including projectiles from other mods.
- Fixed firing TACZ guns at bodies also triggering a melee hit.
- Fixed ragdolls becoming invisible or freezing in multiplayer.
- Fixed player death cameras clipping into blocks that were destroyed after death.
- Fixed incorrect armor, clothing, textures, and equipment on many mobs, including villagers, zombie villagers, and baby animals.
- Fixed player skins occasionally appearing as Steve, Alex, or missing textures.
- Fixed configuration screens showing internal setting names instead of readable labels.
- Fixed several mob-specific ragdoll issues, including incorrect limb positions, floating bodies, and improperly rendered wings.
Removed

enableGenericMobRagdollssetting. UsegenericRagdollMobsinstead. - Removed the bobbing effect from bodies resting on water.
Compatibility Notes
- Fabric port: Available across all supported Minecraft versions listed above.
- Multiplayer: Clients and servers must use the same Ragdollified version.
- Config migration: Existing settings are preserved when config files move to the new folder.
- Addon developers: Addons built for Ragdollified 1.1.x need to be rebuilt for 1.2.0.
- TACZ and Curios: Integration support remains exclusive to Forge and NeoForge.
