Raft Net

Raft Net adds Raft-inspired collection nets to Minecraft.

Build collection nets into your raft, dock, or ocean base and let them catch dropped items that touch them. Items caught by the net remain real Minecraft dropped items, so there is no inventory, no container menu, and no hidden internal storage. Just walk over the net to collect what it has caught.

The mod adds two types of collection nets:

Simple Collection Net
Advanced Collection Net

The Simple Collection Net is the basic version, while the Advanced Collection Net can hold more items.

Raft Net is designed to fit naturally into ocean survival, Raft-like modpacks, moving ships, floating bases, and setups using mods such as Raft Flotsam and Valkyrien Skies.

Features

Caught items remain real dropped items in the world.
No inventory, no GUI, and no container storage.
Items are held at the top-center of the net until collected, despawned, or removed.
Players can collect caught items by walking over the net normally.
Simple Collection Net holds 10 individual items by default.
Advanced Collection Net holds 15 individual items by default.
Capacity counts individual items, not stacks.
If a dropped stack is larger than the remaining capacity, the net only captures what it can hold and leaves the rest as normal drops.
The model keeps the Raft-style look: wooden frame, open center, and hanging rope net.
Includes wood-specific net variants for vanilla wood types.
Includes server-safe multiplayer logic.
Includes optional Valkyrien Skies moving-ship coordinate support.
Includes optional Raft Flotsam compatibility when Raft Flotsam is installed.
Fully configurable through config/raft_net.toml.

How it works

Place a Simple or Advanced Collection Net as part of your raft, dock, or water build.
When a dropped item touches the net’s capture area, the net checks whether it has remaining capacity.
If there is space, the net catches the item.
The caught item is held at the top-center of the net.
The item stays visible and pickable as a normal dropped item.
Walk over the net to collect the caught items.

The net does not store item stacks internally. It only tracks dropped item entities while they remain in the world. When an item is picked up, despawns, or is removed, the net automatically frees that capacity.

Capacity

By default:

Simple Collection Net: 10 individual dropped items.
Advanced Collection Net: 15 individual dropped items.

Capacity is counted by actual item count, not by stack count.

For example, if a Simple Collection Net has a limit of 10 and a dropped stack of 40 blocks touches it, the net captures 10 items and leaves the remaining 30 as normal dropped items.

Both capacity values can be changed in the config file.

Crafting

The Simple Collection Net is crafted using:

Planks for the wooden frame.
String across the full middle row for the netting.

The Advanced Collection Net is crafted using:

A Simple Collection Net as the base.
Iron ingots.
Chains.
Iron bars.

The mod includes wood-specific recipes and item variants for vanilla wood types, including oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, bamboo, crimson, and warped.

The placed net and inventory item use the matching wood texture.

Raft Net also includes a fallback recipe for modded planks that use the standard minecraft:planks item tag. Modded, non-vanilla planks can craft the oak Simple Collection Net, while vanilla planks keep their own wood-specific recipes.

Walking and waterlogging

Collection Nets have full collision, so players and mobs can safely walk over them without falling through the visual opening.

Both nets are also waterloggable, making them suitable for:

Rafts
Docks
Ocean bases
Harbors
Floating platforms
Water builds

Valkyrien Skies compatibility

Raft Net includes optional coordinate support for Valkyrien Skies ships.

When Valkyrien Skies is installed, nets placed on moving ships resolve their capture area and held-item position using the ship’s real world-space movement. This keeps caught items visible on the moving net instead of leaving them behind at static vanilla block coordinates.

If Valkyrien Skies is not installed, the compatibility bridge stays inactive and the mod uses normal vanilla block coordinates.

Valkyrien Skies is not required to use Raft Net.

Raft Flotsam compatibility

Raft Net does not require Raft Flotsam, but it includes compatibility behavior when Raft Flotsam is installed.

When Raft Flotsam items are captured by a collection net, they remain held in the net until a player collects them. While they are held, they no longer disappear after the lifetime configured by Raft Flotsam, and they no longer count toward Raft Flotsam’s maximum active item limit.

This makes Raft Net a natural companion for Raft Flotsam, letting your raft or ship collect floating ocean debris without losing captured items to Flotsam’s normal cleanup timer or spawn-limit management.

Configuration

The config file is generated at:

config/raft_net.toml

The file includes comments for every parameter and can be reloaded without restarting the server.

You can configure:

Simple Collection Net maximum capacity.
Advanced Collection Net maximum capacity.
Capture height above the net.
How often each net scans for dropped items.

Default config:

simple_max_items = 10
advanced_max_items = 15
capture_height = 1.25
scan_every_ticks = 2

Commands

Reload the config:

/raftnet reload

The command requires permission level 2.

Raft Net

Raft Net añade a Minecraft redes de recolección inspiradas en Raft.

Construye redes de recolección en tu balsa, muelle o base oceánica y deja que capturen los objetos que las toquen. Los objetos atrapados por la red siguen siendo objetos tirados reales de Minecraft, así que no hay inventario, no hay menú de contenedor y no hay almacenamiento interno oculto. Simplemente camina por encima de la red para recoger lo que ha capturado.

El mod añade dos tipos de redes de recolección:

Red de Recolección Simple
Red de Recolección Avanzada

La Red de Recolección Simple es la versión básica, mientras que la Red de Recolección Avanzada puede almacenar más objetos.

Raft Net está pensado para encajar de forma natural en supervivencia oceánica, modpacks inspirados en Raft, barcos en movimiento, bases flotantes y configuraciones con mods como Raft Flotsam y Valkyrien Skies.

Las redes capturan objetos tirados que tocan su área de captura.
Los objetos atrapados siguen siendo objetos reales dentro del mundo.

Los objetos se mantienen en la parte superior central de la red hasta que se recogen, desaparecen o son eliminados.
Los jugadores pueden recoger los objetos atrapados caminando por encima de la red.
La Red de Recolección Simple aguanta 10 objetos individuales por defecto.
La Red de Recolección Avanzada aguanta 15 objetos individuales por defecto.
La capacidad cuenta objetos individuales, no stacks.
Si un stack tirado es mayor que la capacidad restante, la red solo captura lo que puede contener y deja el resto como objetos normales.
El modelo mantiene el estilo de Raft: marco de madera, centro abierto y red de cuerda colgante.
Incluye variantes de red por tipo de madera vanilla.
Lógica segura en servidor para multijugador.
Incluye soporte opcional para coordenadas de barcos en movimiento de Valkyrien Skies.
Incluye compatibilidad opcional con Raft Flotsam cuando Raft Flotsam está instalado.
Totalmente configurable mediante config/raft_net.toml.

Cómo funciona

Coloca una Red de Recolección Simple o Avanzada como parte de tu balsa, muelle o construcción acuática.
Cuando un objeto tirado toca el área de captura de la red, la red comprueba si tiene capacidad disponible.
Si hay espacio, la red captura el objeto.
El objeto atrapado se mantiene en la parte superior central de la red.
El objeto sigue siendo visible y recogible como cualquier objeto tirado normal.
Camina por encima de la red para recoger los objetos capturados.

La red no almacena stacks internamente. Solo rastrea entidades de objetos tirados mientras permanecen en el mundo. Cuando un objeto se recoge, desaparece o es eliminado, la red libera automáticamente esa capacidad.

Capacidad

Por defecto:

Red de Recolección Simple: 10 objetos individuales tirados.
Red de Recolección Avanzada: 15 objetos individuales tirados.

La capacidad se cuenta por cantidad real de objetos, no por número de stacks.

Por ejemplo, si una Red de Recolección Simple tiene un límite de 10 y un stack de 40 bloques toca la red, la red captura 10 objetos y deja los 30 restantes como objetos tirados normales.

Ambos valores de capacidad se pueden cambiar en el archivo de configuración.

Crafteo

La Red de Recolección Simple se fabrica usando:

Tablones para el marco de madera.
Hilo en toda la fila central para la red.

La Red de Recolección Avanzada se fabrica usando:

Una Red de Recolección Simple como base.
Lingotes de hierro.
Cadenas.
Barras de hierro.

El mod incluye recetas y variantes de item por tipo de madera vanilla, incluyendo roble, abeto, abedul, jungla, acacia, roble oscuro, manglar, cerezo, bambú, carmesí y distorsionada.

La red colocada y el item del inventario usan la textura de la madera correspondiente.

Raft Net también incluye una receta alternativa para tablones de mods que usen la etiqueta estándar minecraft:planks. Los tablones no vanilla de otros mods pueden fabricar la Red de Recolección Simple de roble, mientras que los tablones vanilla conservan sus recetas específicas por madera.

Movimiento y agua

Las redes tienen colisión completa, así que jugadores y mobs pueden caminar sobre ellas sin caer por el centro visualmente abierto.

Ambas redes también se pueden inundar con agua, por lo que encajan bien en:

Balsas
Muelles
Bases oceánicas
Puertos
Plataformas flotantes
Construcciones acuáticas

Compatibilidad con Valkyrien Skies

Raft Net incluye soporte opcional de coordenadas para barcos de Valkyrien Skies.

Cuando Valkyrien Skies está instalado, las redes colocadas en barcos en movimiento calculan su área de captura y la posición de los objetos atrapados usando el movimiento real del barco en el mundo. Esto mantiene los objetos capturados visibles sobre la red en movimiento, en lugar de dejarlos atrás en las coordenadas vanilla estáticas del bloque.

Si Valkyrien Skies no está instalado, la compatibilidad permanece inactiva y el mod usa las coordenadas normales de bloques vanilla.

Valkyrien Skies no es necesario para usar Raft Net.

Compatibilidad con Raft Flotsam

Raft Net no requiere Raft Flotsam, pero incluye compatibilidad cuando Raft Flotsam está instalado.

Cuando los objetos de Raft Flotsam son capturados por una red de recolección, permanecen retenidos en la red hasta que un jugador los recoge. Mientras están retenidos, ya no desaparecen al pasar el tiempo de vida configurado por Raft Flotsam y dejan de contar para el límite máximo de objetos activos de Raft Flotsam.

Esto convierte a Raft Net en un complemento natural para Raft Flotsam, permitiendo que tu balsa o barco capture restos flotantes del océano sin perder los objetos capturados por el temporizador normal de limpieza de Flotsam ni por su gestión de límite de aparición.

Configuración

El archivo de configuración se genera en:

config/raft_net.toml

El archivo incluye comentarios para cada parámetro y se puede recargar sin reiniciar el servidor.

Puedes configurar:

Capacidad máxima de la Red de Recolección Simple.
Capacidad máxima de la Red de Recolección Avanzada.
Altura de captura sobre la red.
Frecuencia con la que cada red escanea objetos tirados.

Configuración por defecto:
