Radical Far Lands
Mod that add radiation beyond a configured range. Radiation can be stoppted using Lugoli Liquid (inpired by Lugol's Liquid). You can craft it using red stone and honeycomb in the brewing stand.

Set your staring point and range. Everything beyond will glow with all great gamma particles.
But don't worry!
Lugoli Liquid is your friend! Brew it with redstone and honeycomb, then go and explore beyond the radiated zone... Well at least as long as it is effective. It's effectivness is weaker every potion you drink on your expedition.
