Description
Quiet Mobs is basically for people who like having animals, villagers, or other mobs around, but get tired of hearing them make the same sounds every few seconds.
You can make mobs talk less often without fully muting them, and you also get separate sliders.
- Idle sound frequency – Change how often mobs make random sounds like mooing, bleating, grunting, villager chatter, etc.
- Footstep volume – Lower how loud mobs are when walking, running, or galloping around.
- Hurt sound volume – Lower how loud mobs are when they take damage.
For idle sounds, you can use one setting for everything, change whole categories like animals, villagers, hostile mobs, water mobs, and ambient mobs, or search for a specific mob and give it its own setting.
Modded mobs are supported too as long as they use Minecraft’s normal mob sound system.
100% keeps the normal Minecraft idle sound frequency, while 0% stops random idle sounds completely. Anything in between just makes them happen less often.
It also doesn’t remove sounds that actually matter. Attacking, eating, dying, trading, warning sounds, and other action-based sounds are left alone.
Quiet Mobs is fully client-side, so you can use it on multiplayer servers without the server having the mod installed.
