QuantCraft — A Real Stock Market Inside Minecraft
Everything you do in your world moves the market. Mine iron, and iron stocks dip. Farm wheat all day, and agricultural prices collapse. Kill enough blazes, and arcane commodities shift. QuantCraft turns your Minecraft world into a living economy where supply, demand, and player behavior drive real price action.
How It Works
Earn -- Deposit resources (iron, wheat, leather, emeralds…) into a Commodity Exchange to receive Dollar Bills.
Invest -- Use Dollar Bills at a Stock Exchange to buy and sell stocks that track in-game resources.
Watch -- Prices update in real time. A Quotron Terminal on your desk shows live tickers, charts, and daily movers.
React -- World events trigger market shifts. Thunderstorms boost lumber. A Wither fight spikes arcane stocks. A flood of player-sold feathers crashes the poultry index.
The market opens at dawn and closes at dusk. You'll see opening movers, closing summaries, and newspapers that report (and cause) breaking events.

Designed for Learning
QuantCraft teaches real market concepts through gameplay:
- Supply & demand — Oversupply crashes prices. Scarcity lifts them.
- Volatility — Some sectors swing wildly. Others are stable and boring.
- Market cycles — Seasons shift between growth and contraction. Adapt or bleed.
- Mean reversion — Prices tend to return toward fair value over time.
- Risk management — Short selling can wipe you out. Diversification matters.
- Market hours — No trading at night. Plan your moves.
You don't need to know any of this going in. You'll learn it by watching your portfolio.
Singleplayer & Multiplayer
In singleplayer, the Liquidity Bot and world events keep the market alive. In multiplayer, other players become the market — their mining, farming, and trading decisions move prices just like yours do. Server owners can tune volatility, tax rates, tick intervals, season length, and event pressure through Cloth Config.
Getting Started
- Craft a Commodity Exchange (or locate an Investment Center in the wild).
- Deposit items to earn your first Dollar Bills.
- Find a Stock Exchange or run
/qc prices close to one to see what's trading.
- Buy your first stock. Watch it move.
- Place a Quotron Terminal at home to track the market without walking back to town.
Configuration
All settings adjustable via Cloth Config / ModMenu:
- Tax rate (default 2%)
- Market tick interval
- Volatility multiplier
- Cocaine crafting toggle (enable/disable)
Requirements
- Cloth Config
- ModMenu (optional, for settings UI)
The market doesn't care about your feelings. Good luck out there.
