Corrosion Added:
"So, I'll wipe the slate clean and build it anew..."

If you hit (or go below) -45, Corrosion activates. While Corrosion is active:

  • Going above 0 disables Corrosion and leaves you stunned for a while (This applies E.G.O. cooldown as well. It is a completely shutdown. No physical harm otherwise, though).
  • Going below -99 (<=-100) kills you, or otherwise severely harms you in some sort of way.
  • Sanity constantly decreases.



General Changes & Additions:

  • Tooltip fixes across the board
  • Cassian no longer force closes his GUI, fixing the crash that happened before at the end of his interaction
  • Changed how the weapon system ticks entirely. This should help with TPS.
  • Photon added as a dependency.
  • Hand weapons now use custom textures for your arms. (Explained below)
  • Middle Chains texture redesigned
  • Ampule texture redesigned
  • Sinking effect added
  • Rupture effect added
  • Definitely some more stuff I'm forgetting.

 


 

Hey guys.

Finally got this done. 

Lots of backend changes were made. That was the main thing taking up my time. I did manage to get some content done during that though.

Photon is going to be used for all VFX going forwards. I've never used it before, but I made sure it is functional within the mod. Don't expect anything crazy for a bit, but I'm definitely going to spend time learning how to use this. There was only so much I could do with particles and math.

Due to all of the changes, hand animations no longer can grab your skin. Yeah, I know. I don't like it either.

So, I'll be making textures for the arms instead. Sorta 'default' ones from consumables, and more themed ones for weapons. You can see this already with the updated textures this update.

Sunshower's weapon isn't done, if you were wondering where that is. I just wanted to get this update over with. I'm obviously going to add it. Searing Sword part 2.

Anyways, see you guys next update. Hopefully not as long of a wait next time.
