5. Not falsely claim to be the official version.
6. Not remove or obscure the original attribution.

Forks may use different names, branding, version numbers, and additional features.

## 4. Permitted Distribution Platforms

The Software and Forks may be publicly distributed **only through**:

* **CurseForge**

Distribution through these platforms is permitted provided that all other terms of this license are followed.

Uploading the Software or a Fork to Modrinth or CurseForge does **not** grant permission to simultaneously distribute the same Software or Fork through unauthorized platforms.

The copyright holder may designate additional Permitted Platforms at their discretion by publishing a written notice (for example, on the official project page or repository). Doing so does not require a new version of this license and applies immediately to all versions of the Software and Forks distributed under this license, unless the notice states otherwise.

## 5. Commercial Distribution

Commercial distribution is permitted **only through the official monetization mechanisms provided by Modrinth or CurseForge**, where applicable.

Permitted platform revenue may include revenue generated through the platform itself, provided that the Software or Fork remains freely accessible to users in accordance with the platform's own rules and this license.

* Monetize distribution through a third-party platform other than a Permitted Platform.
* Sell the Software as part of a paid software package.
* Sell the Software as part of a paid mod collection.
* Sell a Fork as part of a paid software package.
* Sell a Fork as part of a paid mod collection.
* Charge money specifically and exclusively for access to the Software or Fork through a website, Discord server, launcher, repository, or other service, where the Software or Fork itself is not otherwise freely available through that service.
* Use donations, memberships, subscriptions, or similar payments as a condition for receiving the Software or Fork.
* Circumvent the platform restrictions of this license through mirrors, alternate download links, file-hosting services, or other distribution methods.
* Claim ownership of the original Software or its original source code.
* Remove the required attribution or license from a distributed copy.

## 7. Modpacks and Collections

The Software and Forks may be included in **free modpacks and collections**.

The following conditions apply:

* The modpack must not charge specifically for access to the Software.
* The Software must remain subject to this license.
* The original author must be credited where reasonably practical.
* The Software must not be separately paywalled inside the modpack.
* A paid modpack or collection may not include the Software if payment is required specifically to obtain access to the Software.

Nothing in this section grants permission to sell or separately monetize the Software.

## 8. Distribution Outside Permitted Platforms

Public distribution of the Software or a Fork outside the Permitted Platforms is prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

* Personal download websites.
* File-hosting services.
* GitHub Releases.
* GitLab Releases.
* Direct download links.
* Discord attachments or download systems.
* Launchers that independently distribute the Software.
* Other mod-hosting websites.
* Third-party marketplaces.
* Torrents or other file-sharing systems.

This restriction applies regardless of whether the distribution is manual or automated — for example, a continuous integration pipeline configured to publish compiled builds to GitHub Releases or a similar service is a violation even if no person manually uploads the file.

A link to an authorized Permitted Platform page is permitted.

A source-code repository may contain the source code of a Fork for development and collaboration purposes, but this does not grant permission to provide unauthorized compiled downloads or other unauthorized distributions.

## 9. Derivative Works

Forks and derivative works are permitted, provided that they comply with this license.

A Fork may:

* Add features.
* Remove features.
* Change the user interface.
* Change the project's name.
* Change the project's branding.
* Change the project's implementation.
* Add additional code.
* Be substantially different from the original Software.

However, the Fork must still comply with the attribution, distribution, and monetization requirements of this license.

Additional code included in a Fork may be licensed separately where legally permitted, but such licensing may not be used to circumvent the restrictions applying to the original Software.

## 10. Dependencies and Third-Party Components

This license applies only to material owned by JustQuirk and distributed under the NPD License.

Third-party libraries, APIs, assets, dependencies, and other components remain subject to their respective licenses.

Nothing in this license grants permission to violate the license of a third-party component.

This license does not grant permission to use trademarks, logos, names, branding, or other distinctive marks belonging to JustQuirk or the original Software, except where such use is reasonably necessary to identify the Software or comply with the attribution requirements of this license.

Creating a Fork does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or official status.

# NPD — Not Permissive Distribution License

The Software may be used, studied, modified, forked, and redistributed subject to the NPD License.

Public distribution is restricted to **Modrinth and CurseForge**, plus any platform later designated in writing by the Original Author.

Commercial distribution is permitted only through the official monetization mechanisms of those platforms.

Direct sales, paywalls, paid access, unauthorized platforms, and other forms of prohibited distribution are not permitted without explicit written permission from the copyright holder.

This is a source-available license, not an open-source license as defined by the Open Source Initiative, due to its distribution and monetization restrictions.
