PURG4TORY Kits

PURG4TORY Kits is a starter equipment selection system developed for the PURG4TORY: Souls Grimore Minecraft modpack.

When entering a new world, players are presented with a custom fantasy-themed interface where they can choose their starting equipment before beginning their adventure.

Features

• Six starter kits: Warrior, Mage, Archer, Rogue, Paladin, and Priest.
• Optional vanilla start: Begin without receiving additional equipment.
• Visual selection screen: Custom pixel-art illustrations, item previews, descriptions, and confirmation.
• Balanced starting supplies: Basic weapons, light protection, food, torches, and essential survival tools.
• No permanent classes: Players can freely change their equipment and playstyle throughout their adventure.
• Secure item delivery: Server-authorized, one-time kit selection with persistent player data.
• Multiplayer support: Each player independently chooses their starting equipment.
• Data-driven configuration: Kit definitions can be customized through datapacks.

How It Works

On their first join, new players can select a starter kit that introduces one of the combat styles available in PURG4TORY.

Kits are not character classes. They do not provide permanent abilities, attribute bonuses, or restrictions.

The system remembers completed selections to prevent duplicate rewards, including after reconnecting or restarting the server.
