Purescale is a client-side performance mod that combines spatial upscaling and frame generation to increase FPS on virtually any GPU.

Render Minecraft at a lower internal resolution, then reconstruct a full-resolution image using AMD FidelityFX FSR1 (EASU + RCAS), while keeping the GUI and HUD perfectly sharp. This can significantly improve performance in GPU-heavy scenarios such as high resolutions, shaderpacks and path tracing.

Purescale also includes experimental camera-reprojection Frame Generation, allowing it to generate additional displayed frames between rendered ones. This can improve perceived smoothness even when you're CPU-bound, and works on any GPU capable of running Minecraft—no RTX, Tensor Cores or AI hardware required.

Notes

Spatial upscaling primarily improves performance when GPU-bound.
Frame Generation is experimental. Ghosting may occur on moving entities or the player's hand.
Frame Generation is currently not compatible with Iris shaderpacks.
For best results with Frame Generation, set Minecraft's Max Framerate to Base FPS × Frame Generation multiplier.
