Have you ever felt a bit too comfortable watching your technomagical ore processor multiply your resources by tenfold?

Have you ever felt like there's no reason to explore?

The Plants That Drop Stuff mod aims to fix those and more. It adds in a variety of flowers and plants that drop resources upon breaking. This is the first mod that I've uploaded to the Minecraft Forum that's not just a generic MCreator mod.

But Random,

you say,

Where, pray tell, do I find these flowers?

The flowers naturally generate anywhere there is grass in a similar fashion to ores. If you're using this on a world that you created before installing this mod, you'll have to generate some new chunks to see the plants appear.

I know what else you're thinking:

Very true, my friend, and I have not forgotten your request of screenshots; you can find them in the images section of the CurseForge page along with descriptions of the plants.

But Random, where's the download? I've literally searched this whole thing and I can't find it!

You're on the download page, dude; you can just click that download button you see there. Don't go around clicking those green download buttons, though; those are probably ads that lead to viruses or something.

But Random, plants sound boring, does this mod add anything else?

Sadly, the answer is no, except for one thing: the makeshift pickaxe. Have you ever been frustrated because you forgot your pickaxe when you went mining? The makeshift pickaxe should serve as at least a temporary solution and possibly at most your escape plan, if not even better than that. It can even be crafted in the 2x2 crafting grid! You just combine a stick, bone, piece of flint, and a vine in the crafting grid, and you get your makeshift pickaxe. However, don't rely on it as a permanent mining tool; it only has a measly 40 durability, which is less than a wooden pickaxe! It only mines up to iron as well. However, that shouldn't stop you from using it in a pinch. Whether you're getting that last bit of iron before returning to your base or escaping a sticky situation, the makeshift pickaxe can prove useful.

But Random, there's not a lot of variety in this mod. And besides, these flowers are a bit too common in my opinion, especially when considering what they drop.

No worries, I plan to update and add things to this mod. This is only an alpha version, after all. I plan to do the following:

-Add more flowers/plants

-Add the rest of the makeshift tool set (as well as possibly others)

-Add a config that allows you to edit spawn rates

-Add in the ability to craft coal and iron ingots into their chips and nuggets respectively

-Tweak the spawn rates of the flowers

-Possibly take requests from the community
