What's new

Prototype 1.0.0: first public release

  • The Prototype Bench (a Cartography Table and 4 Amethyst Shards) takes you into a creative workshop: a copy of the area around it (5×5, 9×9 or 17×17 chunks) or flat ground, shared by everyone who uses that bench.
  • Your survival self waits outside: inventory, armour, ender chest, XP, effects, health and hunger come back exactly when you leave, and after a logout, a crash or removing the mod. Nothing made in creative can be carried out.
  • Templates: mark a box with the Prototype Square, save it, paste it back turned or mirrored.
  • Build it for real: show a template in survival as ghost blocks, with wrong blocks outlined, a progress line for each nearby build, and one layer at a time; move, turn and mirror it from the bench; hide a build's ghosts or its progress line just for you, remembered between sessions.
  • Carry builds with the Prototype Square: pick a shown build up and put it down where you look, after a "Move it here?"; stamp copies to repeat a segment; merge shown builds into one template; Box pasted marks every paste in a workshop.
  • Placeholders and construction blocks: placeholders (block, slab, stairs, wall, fence, pane) accept any block of their shape; the construction block means "doesn't matter" and is the ground of flat workshops.
  • Ghosts named on look, and framed "?" boxes for blocks the game cannot draw see-through (chests, banners, heads...).
  • Your own settings from the bench's ⚙: ask before putting a build down, the Square's directions on screen, and where the progress line sits.
  • Materials list: what is left to place, what you carry, and what is in your Coffers banks; copy it as text.
  • Litematica: export templates as .litematic, import .litematic files as templates, and, with Litematica installed, make a shown template a Litematica placement too.
