🌟 Why Prosperity?

Vanilla villages often feel static, repetitive, and empty. Once you've traded for a few enchants, there is little reason to care about the people living there.

Prosperity expands your world with living, evolving medieval settlements where every villager has a name, personality, RPG stats, and unique backstory. Encounter ruined houses that need your architectural help, hire stalwart knights to patrol the borders against raids, appoint a town mayor to oversee treasury trade, and help down-on-their-luck citizens find their footing again.

⚔️ Major Features

🏚️ 1. Ruined Villages & Regional Reconstruction

Villages are no longer copy-paste perfect!

  • Natural Village Weathering: Approximately 50% of villages spawn with weathered, ruined houses featuring breached roofs, shattered windows barred with iron, cobwebs, and cracked stone.
  • House Restoration Bench: Found inside ruined homes or craftable by the player. Provides exact architectural restoration without changing the original village blueprint!
  • Biome-Specific Materials:
    • 🏜️ Desert: Sandstone, Smooth Sandstone, Glass Panes.
    • 🌾 Savanna: Acacia Planks, Terracotta, Glass Panes.
    • 🌲 Taiga / Snowy: Spruce Planks, Cobblestone, Glass Panes.
    • 🌿 Plains: Oak Planks, Cobblestone, Glass Panes.
  • Returning Families: Restoring a house brings a displaced villager family back home with +2 Trust Stars (★★☆☆☆) and rewards prosperity reputation!

👑 2. Town Mayors, Village Chronicles & Treasury

  • Village Journal: Craftable leather journal with classic parchment pages. View a complete census of every villager in town, inspect 3D portraits, read dynamic life stories, and track their stats.
  • Electing a Mayor: Appoint any deserving villager as the official Town Mayor with celebration fireworks and town fanfare!
  • Town Hall Treasury: Trade directly with the Mayor's office:
    • 🪙 Exchange surplus Gold Ingots for Emeralds.
    • 📐 Acquire rare Architect Blueprints, Village Warning Horns, and Town Bells.
    • 🍞 Bulk supplies of provisions and materials for village growth.

🛡️ 3. Armed Protectors: Guards & Heavy Knights

Villages no longer depend solely on clumsy iron golems:

  • Village Guard: Agile sentry equipped with melee weapons or bows. Protects perimeter against zombies, pillagers, and hostile mobs.
  • Village Knight: Heavy-armored champion wielding an iron blade and fortress shield. Features active shield blocking with authentic metallic deflection sounds and knockback resistance.
  • Dynamic Tactical Stances: Shift + Right Click to command their behavior:
    • 🔄 Patrol: Actively roams the village borders hunting hostiles.
    • 📍 Guard Post: Holds their ground and protects key buildings.
    • 🚶 Follow: Accompanies the player into battle and dungeon crawls.

📜 4. Deep Villager RPG Stats & Dialogues

  • Strength & Intellect: Dynamic attributes that grow as villagers work and complete tasks. Higher intellect unlocks generous merchant discounts!
  • Trust & Quest System: Complete villager tasks to build trust stars.
  • Hiring System: Once a villager reaches 3 trust stars, hire them (Shift + Right Click) to assist in construction and exploration.
  • Authentic Identities: Realistic unique names and subtle visual differentiation between male and female villagers.

🗑️ 5. The Outskirts: Urban Realism & Redemption

  • Connected Double Dumpsters: Realistic industrial dumpsters with connectable left/right models, authentic sounds, and a full 54-slot chest inventory.
  • Street Urns: Decorative, functional trash cans placed around village wells.
  • Homeless Camps & Cardboard Bedding: Look around village borders for small encampments with authentic cardboard bedding.
  • Life Stories & Redemption: Each destitute villager has an emotional journey explaining how they ended up here. Give them bread and an emerald to lift them out of poverty, returning them to productive village life for high prosperity reputation!
  • Street Stench Mechanic: Standing near squalor inflicts the Stench debuff. Wash off in fresh river or ocean water to cleanse yourself and earn an advancement!

⚖️ 6. Village Law & Retribution

  • Crime Curse: Harming or killing innocent villagers or the Mayor brandishes you as a criminal. Inflicts slowness, weakness, and village-wide boycotts.
  • Milk Immunity: Magic milk cannot cleanse your crimes: only serving your sentence or seeking redemption will clear your name!
  • Anti-Spam Law System: Combat log debouncing prevents chat spam during chaotic village skirmishes.

🖥️ 7. Clean Light-Theme RPG Interface & Adaptive HUD

  • Ivory Parchment Theme: Hand-crafted light GUI with 3D beveled cards and crisp typography that fits Minecraft's medieval world.
  • Zero Text Overflow: Smart responsive text formatting ensures item names, stats, and buttons never clip or overlap.
  • Look-At HUD Overlay: Glance at any villager or guard within 6 blocks to see a sleek, dark-slate RPG card with health, stats, level, and trust stars.
